well the article is very informative on the online museum. It does make things easier is you don't have the time to go to a actual museum. Also for some reason it isn't working for my computer the online museum.
i think its an nice idea because it easier just to get info from an online museum , it saves time and the online museum looks nice too, the info is good too and there pictures and videos too
thats pretty cool how now technowlodgy can take you to vertual yet real places for free in the comfort of your own home. that church in that first room looked like the one Ml king was in Montgomery where he was giving that "free at last" speech, that was the first thing that poped into my mind. there were a lot of great historical artifacts there, all though i do know more american black history than Canadian, which is kind of odd when you think about it. if they did it on american black history i think i would know more
i went to church today and we were talking about that museum,and it is a great idea because it tells people the black history and culture,and many people even alot blacks dont really know this so it would be a big help for them.

Yeah i agree with pamela as well not to many museums talk about black history so this is a good way to recognize black leaders and black history.But i still dont completly agree with the idea of having a museum online Cause you wont see the that you could when your actually at the museum.
I think seeing the actual museum in real is far way better than seeing it on the computer because in real you see the perfect size the perfect color etc, but yet on the computer you are wasting energy, you wont be able to see the perfect color, and you don't see the real actual size.
Yeah, new technology is very cool and very fascinating to play with but we don't need it, we could be saving that for something we do need in the near-by future.
And like saving gas and oil because it is running out and it takes over millions years to make it. So we should save all the things we don't need but we use as goods to help the world.

The online museum also helps people learn more about black history and how they impacted our world because you could go through the museum while your waiting or going somewhere , most people wouldn't have time to go to an actual museum so having the online museum is a great way to learn about black history.

I think the online museum has all the information about black history , it has information .. but i guess not as an actual museum would because those would be bigger where as the online museum has a few rooms. Does using the computer use energy , yes. But building a museum and keeping it hot and cold depending on the weather is also a waste of energy and perhaps even more of a waste.
In terms of do we need it, well some would argue and I would tend to agree that our history guides us and prepares of for our future. So any format that helps educate and show our history I feel is a valuable one.
Although I agree that physically going to a museum is a far more impacting experience then viewing online.
Using the web method of browsing the museum is in fact, more time-friendly and insightful, reason being that you can just see everything from the comfort of your own home, who wants to travel all the way to saskatchewan to see a museum?, iridescent of content? It is more insightful because usually at the museums there are either tour guides or captions for displays in the museum, but on the website, they have information about the displays and where you can find more information about said displays, either blurbs to videos to websites. That appeals to me. It's also beneficial for the museum, there will be more interest taken in Black History and more publicity for the museums.
@Cripple Egyptian Pharaoh, i agree with what you are saying but if you see the museum on the computer you wouldn't get the exact measurement like the exact size of the actual piece they are showing you.
I agree with you Mr.Cheney, it definitely take a lot of energy to make the museum, to put the heater/ac on constructing things, etc. Using the computer also take energy, but not as much as they do to making the museum, and also the transportation to getting to the museum is taking a car which take gas and gas and oil are the main things that is getting wasted, so i think that now the online museum is pretty neat and cool.
