Movie
Hey Team, we have reached the point where we need to make an action plan. We have not made our original due date and we may miss all the performance dates. What do you want to do next?
As said today in the morning,There shouldn't be a month for each minority,but it should be celebrated all year long.
Let's make this movie as authentic as possible,but work at a motivated rate. After the final script is finished tonight,tomorrow morning we can select the actors.Rehearsing should be very on task,and then after that we can start actually filming.We need to have everything as real as possible to make it better...
We should try to finish the movie before March break. Cause we could try to hurry and finish in time of the assembly but if we make some mistakes in such a rush it won’t be so good cause then the audience will just say that it was a boring movie so we could take more time and do the project well so and the end of the year we could say that we did two major things this year.
I agree with both of you our movie should be something were proud to look at and think about. And Like Mrcheney said even if we miss the deadline its not like no ones going to see this. People are going to see this if we do it with quality.
So lets take our time mind though that we dont have another lull and get enerything done to the best of our ability say before the mid point of march what do you guys think is that realistic?
So heres my action plan we get all the actors sorted out early tomm and then the actors who need to rehearse do that everyone else will make a list of the needed props and possible places of where we can get them. I'm just wondering how does the first scene look is there as much dialouge or props involved if not I feel we can maybe film it tomm.
@ zak i agree with you we should pick all the people tomm then give them the scripts to memarize over the weekend and pick all the sites for filming and get all props and start filming on monday.
Yeah i agree with zak th actors can rehearse their parts and some people could get all the props and some people could think about the location of shot(people who wrote the script). In the first seen there is barly and dialouge or props it is the capture scene and there going to e filming that in the forest behind beaumonde park.
i want to be one of the main actors,and @zak i agree with your idea and it makes sense,ohh and @usman you are right but remember what mr.cheney said(i think)it will probably take a while to get the props.
how about we split the class in to two parts including zak's idea like for a period or two we have half work on the movie like the memorizing the scripts and choosing characters, props we'll do later the other half do the work you are teaching and then we switch.
Oh and I also volunteer to be Fredrick Douglas. @thomas I dont think we should delay getting props that might take the longest so its best to get everything done nice and early.
I don't want to be any character, but i believe that we should work at a good pace, and "slack" because we already delayed enough and if we delay any more father it is just going to be a wreck, but i believe that we wont be able to finish the movie by the black history month assembly because like Mr.Cheney said shooting a 30 second scene take 2 hours, to get all the props set up, the camera in the right angle, the actor memorized the script all this takes a a lot of time, so i think we should just finish by the march breaks.
I've just completed the final script...Just missing the block 2 part that I have to scan in. The paper for block 2 is at school...So if there's a scanner at school we can finish this tomorrow morning...If not it'll take one more day.

@adam that is true that the assembly is on March 5th. But if we don't get it done by the due date (and we probably won't) that doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. It will be something to remember and to show off to people. Like Mr Cheney said, this should be celebrated all year long. So it's not a very big deal that we miss the deadline.
mr.cheney you know how you said that if we finish the movie before march we can enter the movie competition so this means that we would not be able to do that anymore right because wasn't the competition suppose to be in February or i think it was like we had to enter in February something but now we won't be able to right.
I think that when we finish the movie instead of just playing it at the next assembly we should show a trailer and play the movie at the next one and i would like to help with props
Yeah I agree with Vanessa because why do we need a trailer? We should focus on the whole movie.

Yeah ok so a movie trailer doesn't sound like a bad idea. But when and who will make the poster? And will we make more than one? I have lots of questions. I don't know why though...
Okay I Need a student to take a lead in gathering our scenes opening pictures. gather the pictures in one document and then organizing the actual photo, picking locations, and selecting actors.
Block leaders please post a link for your photo so it can be easily gathered
1 gather the photos 2 send the picture files to mrcheney@rogers.com 3 put pictures in a word document for you 4 plan and organize the photos 5 create a sign up list (type and print but on the blog as well) 6 lets aim to take these photos next wednesday
The actors and jobs have been assigned The final script is complete
The props/costume/setting group just has to work on the props list and how each scene is going to be set up.The costume design is finished.
After the props list and the settings are designed,we can start the collection of items needed for the movie (clothing,props and background items (like walls or tables)
So i know im late but I think its almost a waste if we quit on it and if we were to go with the movie(which we will) and finish it the movie will be a big accomplishment for our class and and the school even if we dont get it to the movie competition and if we want we can have a little Movie diary of how hard the movie was and how good or bad we felt after the movie was previewed

ReplyDeleteThe film does not need to be filmed in sequential order, auction scene, freedom scene, boat scene, montage, then outdoor scenes
Wevwill need to creat a team tomorrow to organize and plan setting, costumes, wardrobe
No scanner at work...we will type out those scenes first thing
