i think that love in these kids eyes is the love they recieve from their parents which is somthing that is considered love for a lot of others not just little kids
first, Happy Valentines Day Everyone !!! :) second, For kids that are 6.. that isnt bad.. you wouldnt think that at such a young age they actually know most of the basics.. but still there comments on the topic were very cute ! :P
I think the Kids are partially right because at this age they dont know about love between a boyfreind and a girlfreind because there so young and thats good at this age because they think love is caring about ur parents and thats true and only one girl talked about a boyfreind making cookies for the girlfreind and the girl doi8ng the same thing so it makes sense that 1 out of bout 6-10 people knew about the other part of love
This is actually shocking because you wouldnt think that 6 year old would really know what love means. Most of the kids were not talking about boyfriend and girlfriends, they were talking about about parents/family and other things.
Thomas Cooper's and Antonio Cedeno's articulate thoughts on love are very extensive and prosauce (Darth-inder's Word) It makes me wonder on what I think love is. Erm, a lot of confused thoughts there, apparently little kids know more about love then me.
This video was really interesting, checking the point of view from a 6 year old of what they think love/valentines day is. I found it really shocking as Pamela said because they are just 6 and its really amazing what they can think it means.
@Pamela its true i was shockedd also , but i found it interestingg how everyone of them said love as if there parents and family, but you expect that from 6 year olds.. but still i think its really cute these kids !
@Pamela , i agree .. it is shocking that 6 year olds know what love means because it seems most of the "love" that they would see would be in disney movies. Their was about one child that talked about boyfriends or girlfriends, its good that they were talking about parents, family, or friends.
I think it's cute what they said. It's not totally accurate but they're 6 so you got to give them some credit. Although some of the things they said were not that far off from what love actually is (well I think so anyways).
@gurinder what do you mean when you say the government should be moulding their minds so they can have a productive future? What does the government have to do with this?
@gurinder I dont agree with your comment because if you look at just some of the people in history who have been productive I seriously doubt that theyve been moulded by the goverment people like einstein, etc there inspiration stems from other stuff and moulding their minds is not needed.
And I also think that love is something more complicated than this you just cant say you love this or that it's a lot more deep. A feeling in your heart and gut that sets what you love apart from everything else that makes it special and lasting. Something you think about or something or someone that makes you feel diffrent than the way anyone or anything else can. Thats what I think love is.
Yeah love is pretty deep. Love isn't when you say "I love my video games". Your saying you really like your video games but love is more than a thing you really like. It's almost a reaction (I don't know if that is the right word but I'm using it)
gurinder you're comment is very negative because with out love you wouldn't be in this world if no one were to be loved or marriage didnt happen us humans wouldnt have been created because of the whole love production
I think that Antonio Cedeno guy is right it does not have to be a girlfriend or a boyfriend it camn be your parents just like all the grade 1 said. @alyssa it would be the normal thign for the grade 1s to say because they are only in grade 1 and they are very young compared to us.
I agree with stephanie, alyssa they are are only in grade 1 they have background knowledge of what loves means with there parents, but they never really had relationship love.
aww i agree with alyssa and steph, its cute :D and yeah they are only in grade one, so well all of are mostly talking about their parents love which means , they kinda get the meaning as pamela said and gurinder, what do mean by that , their only 6 and in grade one
By the government,it means the education boards.By productive,I mean being focused
Love isn't going to help you in a competitive world that is our future Let's worry about love after global warming isn't a trouble...But humans can't let go of something like that.
well i think the grade 1's dont know the meaning of love!and second of all the girl in the black hair with the purple top.her first comment was about boyfriend and girlfriend, they are cute but now in our society people are often using the word love to express how they feel and how to describe things, but what they dont know is love is a strong word like hate, and well if they think love means that then their parents need to talk to them about what love means.
@El Presidente People like Einstien are unique, intelligent individuals that are like ''One in a Million''
Love can be related as an exuse for courtship.Breaking all our existence down,it's a ''pleasant'' cycle of mating that will keep growing and growing until our resources are gone and our existence is...non existent.
Breaking that down even more, the universe could just be a thought. This whole ''existence'' could be something meaningless.
On the other side...These kids have an interesting view, that it's about family and caring... not foul adolescent mating and the like.
It's nice to have someone against something while the rest are for it,it makes it more interesting...Just sayin'
I'm happy that these children have very...Clean and fresh minds unlike the more ''real'' world that is...inappropriate.(Pure minds that can be moulded into destructive beasts!)
Yeah it's normal for 6 year olds to say these things because they have the background knowledge from their parents. It's not wrong but I don't think that it's entirely accurate either because they've never been in a relationship themselves.
@Alyssa It's good that they don't actually have experience. The way they analyze valentine's day sounds like something that should be what valentines day is,but sadly it isn't.By it not being that,I mean that it just happens to be that it is not about celebrating those who are your family and people you care about...but people that seem to be attractive.
So sad that there aren't enough people that are as enlightened as there should be.
true, what youu said vanessa said makes sense and it right but they only in grade one, so if thats what they think it is , while they get older, they will praobaly get different meanings of love
Love is powerful - like a precious stone. However its true value and meaning is often forgotten or not understood. It has become as common as a grain of sand.
These kids bring an innocent and fresh and less biased perspective. Love is far more significant then a boyfriend or girlfriend.
the trapping of relationships when you are young is that the idea is thrust upon you so often that you are not prepared to seek out true love rather the simplicity and easiness of the illusion of love often grips many youthful students.
meaning we chase fictional love rather then seeking out true love.
Gurinder and Zakaria have in their own way highlighted this point.
love in family and faith is often to roots and foundation for love.
but Gurinder when people have found love (true love) they can often be inspired to do great deeds. (like helping global warming)
but as I always say Love is complex and powerful but also hidden like a buried treasure
@gurinder I know people are asking you this already but why are you so against relationships? Global warming is a big issue but without love there would be no more new generations.
i agree with you alyssa , with out love(caring ,respect .....)there would be no world it would have already be disappeared i mean if love wasn't there then all would be left is hate and hate in everyone is going to cause destruction ,there would be no earth and on no global warming and on and on...
How often do people find this true love and get time and have enough initiative to actually to complete such a task ,when most of their time is spent looking for this ''true love''? There isn't enough leadership, teamwork and enlightenment to actually get up and help the Earth. Then again,it could be not worth it so we can give up and rot in the extreme heat in the future...But that's an individual choice.
It could even relate to the 90% of my Time is spent on 10% of the world Quote. If someone isn't participating, everyone can't benefit.
@ mr.Cheney i am not so sure about chasing false love but...OK make that sense. but not all the times after people notice something and they change....a lot i agree with you that love is like buried treasure and it's really complex.and like some kids in the article said they miss their mom and that's love for their mom.
just think about school - more people give cut eye and insult people then share a warm smile or respectful interaction.
just think how silly you feel giving props and saying good morning in the am... actually you are so awkward saying good morning and giving out pleasant greetings (with the teacher) that seldom anybody responses back to my good mornings as you walk past.
just an observation about hate vs love...we are trained to be cold and distant and when the opposite happens it throws you/us off.
admit how awkward you feel sharing a pleasant good morning, its not your fault, i think its symbolic of the society we live in, and that is one of negativity before positivity.
My perspective of relationships is something that should be kept chained up in a box, somewhere in an endless abyss, trapped in the depths of the crevices that you might see today across that sidewalk you walk over on the way to school.
I'm not honestly against them,it's just how I'd like to act to keep life a bit more interesting
I really don't think people would actually want to see a Darthinder with a Positive Outlook on life,that's...that's terrifying!
Love becomes undervalued because so many rush to claim they are in Love...especially with early experiences. the music we listen to the shows we watch the magazines we read all push us towards being in relationships and finding love.
Thus many people will claim to have found love when ultimately many have just found something that works...thus chasing the illusion of Love.
@Heli Like cold is the absence of heat, hate must be the absence of love.If there is no hate, then there is no love, and it means that we wouldn't feel fondness for those certain someones:leading to no existence.
But would it be better to have not existed at all then ever existed in the first place?
@Mr Cheney Every morning that I DONT give props, means that I am actually being pleasant.Creating the thought into a daily basis in a fun way is...Interesting... It's funny how you can use hate as a way to express pleasant-ness?
and Darth turns to good at the end...Gurinder I dont think is said he is against Love just against shallow "relationships" claimed to be born from love.
Love is not counter productive. When a human being has a true Love they can be motivated to conquer many obstacles, so we may spend 90% of our time trying to find Love, the remaining 10% can be highly productive when the first 90% has been successful.
actually Gurinider your anti prop is very entertaining, and very much intuned with your character. My generalizations about the props are to highlight a bigger issue, im aware that nobody is slighting me or being rude, and if you were to give me props I would probably faint and hit my head on the floor.
@Mr Cheney This could even relate to the quote on how technology can be used for more bad things than good. The more technologically advanced we become, the more intelligent and destructive we become, but at the same time we gain more knowledge, and for those who aren't enlightened on the process of ''love'' are misguided to ''false?'' love. The more advanced we will become, more and more media will be produced, and there will be an enormous bias.
But,if technology never advanced,we could be less powerful, less dangerous, less intelligent (as in not as advanced) but Humans would have a more deep and ''authentic'' feeling that is called Love.
Dr Phil has more hair, and looks more professional. and he probably has tape on his desk! And he probably doesn't wear shorts in the winter! But we can't all be emotional experts that wear suits and make millions can we??
Even props can be related to the 90% own time 10% world.90% own time could be building teamwork in the classroom and leadership, and that 10% could be the class itself that has a strong foundation for self motivation...That can lead to a 10% of the world being a more enlightened ''group''
@Mr Cheney There's a teens obsessed with love episode coming out,on the Dr Phil Website
Could be related to this
The dark, imperial overlord of negativity in this intergalactic colony will have to retire to his slumber...and probably start ''no-lifing'' the blog tomorrow morning. *No lifing is a gaming term, meaning to destroy all social life in order to achieve a task...In this case, dominate the blog
A bit ironic, how someone who's so negative seems to have the most posts on a blog about love
@gurinder I feel your wrong because there are people who use love to do great deeds in this world people like martin luther king Jr. who use love as a driving factor to do ssomething for this world.
well what i think is probably we should get Dr.Phil came and talked to these kid...i would like to see that.(i was about to write love then i remembered the video)
I agree with el presidente because there are different type of love in the world, some may be negative, some may be positive, depends on the people itself.
i think there is no meaning to valentines day. it just a day that you how you say hook up with someone for only a day. i say its just a superstition for people
@gurinder its the very fact that people become more powerful and dangerous that makes some love. Because I think some people's true love for others stems from people becoming more dangerous more powerful people like gandhi and Mlk JR and Eli the holocoust survivor. And even in a world with all those things people can still find true love.
@ cheney the world is more cut eye and negative then it is about "love" that's why on the news you will hear alot more about crimes/ hatred then anything else. That is how the world has been it's like something humans thrive for. And how you said people miss use love for alot of things it is more of like then love.
@Mr Cheney Intellect is so vast it doesn't matter the spelling of BOUNDARIES!
Irony is a sad thing.
Because media has corrupted and simplified love,it's also simplified something like hate. Hate is supposed to be this wretched feeling meaning you want something to just die and out of your way.Now everyone uses the words. This could even extend to swearing, swearing is so integrated so society now that people are comfortable to use it in their conversations on a regular basis.
@ Mr Cheney, Just to let you know that whenever I get props from Gurinder, I dislodge one of my fingers, he blasts his negativity through his arm like a weapon of mass destruction, so your lucky to not recieve props from him, otherwise you wouldnt be able to use your IPad.
We are indeed in a more hating society because the global population is increasing, and indeed, there is more competition, and when that happens, there is more selfishness in able to get something out of life. There is fewer and fewer chances to actually be happy in life, and as Mr. Cheney says, When one succeeds, 50 fail. So I think all the competition is what causes the world to become a hating society. We all have our insights on the perfect human being, and if we are so self-centred to believe that we are a perfect being, then we indeed hate others. No love. It goes deeper, but I dont know how to explain it. Help?
thats funny, i like that one kid "love means sharing food" thats what im going to do when i like some one, "happy valentines, i got you a donut" everyone likes food, no girl would say no to a donut :P
I think that this article is really cute 6 year-olds talking about their parents loving them being kind, caring, respectfull etc. this is what love really is it is TRUTH, like the kind of love ur perents give u true love they care about u ur feelings and think for ur future etc.- thats what love is.
well i think there is a meaning to valentines day Tron master because like your parents and people who are in serious relationships ,they use that day to express their love that the have for their life time partner.
@alyssa I think thats reflective of where you live in the world. Because when I went to visit my grandmother in africa I was extremly surprised at the caring for one another. Strangers would give you an extra cent if someone steals something from you they chase them down.
@ Gurinder, Very true, media has ruined our insights on love, and hate. We blindly say "I love this" and "I hate that", and we start to lose the value of the true meaning of love and hate. It is now hard to actually explain love because we lost the true meaning of it until we actually experience it. Even then, If we actually find a love, lets just say for example, a spouse. You get married, and have a happy life, that was all before all this media. Now, divorce rates are at a crazy high and we have truly lost what was great. Nowadays, on tv, we see a celebrity getting divorced one day and married again the next. It really scares me to when my time will come.
@Pamelaa , i think hallmark invented valentines day because why do people celebrate "love" only one day a year, why cant it come more often, and i think hallmark invinted valentines day so they could get money by selling cards, buying choclate and buying flowers, and other many more things.
@ tron whats the superstition part of the holiday there is always a reason they do it if its superstition, like if you don't celebrate it or something else happens.
Gurinder youre wrong because without love you wouldnt be in thisd world and if you didnt love you may become a stressed out hobo on the streets because you wouldnt be able to love studies like being a doctor and you need to love whta youre doing to be able to be a great doctor
And Mr.Cheney youre not much of a Phill he has hair wears a suit and gets paid to do what he does i guess for what you do you get made fun of for not having alot of hair
The world is going to become more and more hateful, resources are going to run out,and then love is going to be more simplified (hate aswell)
This vicious downhill pattern will continue until everything diminishes and everyone is left with meaningless, ''false'' feelings. After that, the sun will explode and destroy the earth and this puny little ball of land that is our Earth will vanish.Universes will fuse and then a pattern of emptyness will be occuring.Billions of years later, hopefully the universe will like how it started.
@ gurinder you are wrong about love because without love you would not have anything if there is not love how are you going to stop global warming if every one hates each other how are you gonna stop it because every one hates each other nobody would work together there would be nothing without love because nobody would cooperate and we would and we would not have a proper socitey in a socitey there has to be love so that you can work with people but when hate replaces that love there would be nothing. so like you can see love is important in the world.
i see love not as a thing, but more like a feeling when you like a person you get that what I call the dangerous feeling, because it can sometimes get you in trouble. it can hurt you, make you do crazy things, kill you, so i see it as a long shot, Mr.Cheney says risk reward, well love is what i see, high risk, and no reward
yeah i agree with what vanessa and talwinder because everyone does have their owm meanings and however they see loove, thats what they think love is and tron master, why would you say its an superstition and its just a day to express your feelings i guess unless hallmark really did create it :p
I think that most people only know about love because of the society. I mean, many of us probably dont have a strong feeling of love for someone(couple related). How could you know what loves is if you have never been in a relationship? Of coarse loving your parents is different to you loving your partner. Thats what i think.
yeah i agree with Pamela but what gurinder is talking about is a different type of love since he's more of the one specific category person . I'm not sure how to put it in words or explain it, he'll have to fend for himself on that one.
@ Adam what do you mean by high risk no reward? as in well you fall in love then you get heart broken when they break up with you kinda thing.
@ Cheney so some people aren't really in love. I agree but what i think is that people that say they are in love when the are really not, because it just works. From what I think is that people that rush as you said are just in love with the idea of love not that they are in love at all.
i think people are in relationships because they like someone but they are only dating them because they want to be in love with they do,not for who they are.Its just life!!
sharpshooter i agree with your idea because it's true alot of teens and some older adults are like this as well, maybe they dont want to get heart broken so they pretend to love someone so they can stay together, and they end up staying together for the wrong reasons.
i think that love in these kids eyes is the love they recieve from their parents which is somthing that is considered love for a lot of others not just little kids

ReplyDeleteand he probably has tape on his desk!
ReplyDeleteCould be related to this
The dark, imperial overlord of negativity in this intergalactic colony will have to retire to his slumber...and probably start ''no-lifing'' the blog tomorrow morning.
*No lifing is a gaming term, meaning to destroy all social life in order to achieve a task...In this case, dominate the blog
A bit ironic, how someone who's so negative seems to have the most posts on a blog about love
Yes I will look up the dr Phil episode,
ReplyDeleteIt does have a strong sense of irony!
But intellect has no boudries.
@ Darthinder don't forget Dr.Phil also has a southern accent, a quality Mr.Cheney uses only when the Yankees come to town, now thats true love :P
ReplyDeleteI think valentines day is invented by hallmark :)
ReplyDelete@gurinder I feel your wrong because there are people who use love to do great deeds in this world people like martin luther king Jr. who use love as a driving factor to do ssomething for this world.
ReplyDelete@ Mr Cheney I do think we live in a more hateful society than a loving one because people insult each other more than we comfort them.
ReplyDeletewell what i think is probably we should get Dr.Phil came and talked to these kid...i would like to see that.(i was about to write love then i remembered the video)
ReplyDeleteA hallmark holiday? Clever thought
ReplyDeleteI agree with el presidente because there are different type of love in the world, some may be negative, some may be positive, depends on the people itself.
ReplyDeletei think there is no meaning to valentines day. it just a day that you how you say hook up with someone for only a day. i say its just a superstition for people
ReplyDelete@gurinder its the very fact that people become more powerful and dangerous that makes some love. Because I think some people's true love for others stems from people becoming more dangerous more powerful people like gandhi and Mlk JR and Eli the holocoust survivor. And even in a world with all those things people can still find true love.
ReplyDelete@ cheney the world is more cut eye and negative then it is about "love" that's why on the news you will hear alot more about crimes/ hatred then anything else. That is how the world has been it's like something humans thrive for. And how you said people miss use love for alot of things it is more of like then love.
ReplyDelete@Mr Cheney Intellect is so vast it doesn't matter the spelling of BOUNDARIES!
ReplyDeleteIrony is a sad thing.
Terrible >_>
@ Nida
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think hallmark invented valentines day?
@ Mr Cheney,
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know that whenever I get props from Gurinder, I dislodge one of my fingers, he blasts his negativity through his arm like a weapon of mass destruction, so your lucky to not recieve props from him, otherwise you wouldnt be able to use your IPad.
Help?
Remember to answer the additional questions I asked
ReplyDeletethats funny, i like that one kid "love means sharing food" thats what im going to do when i like some one, "happy valentines, i got you a donut" everyone likes food, no girl would say no to a donut :P
ReplyDeleteI think that this article is really cute 6 year-olds talking about their parents loving them being kind, caring, respectfull etc.
ReplyDeletethis is what love really is it is TRUTH, like the kind of love ur perents give u true love they care about u ur feelings and think for ur future etc.- thats what love is.
@ nida so hallmark invented (do you mean the card company?) a holiday to get more money so it's just for buisness?
ReplyDeletewell i think there is a meaning to valentines day Tron master because like your parents and people who are in serious relationships ,they use that day to express their love that the have for their life time partner.
ReplyDelete@alyssa I think thats reflective of where you live in the world. Because when I went to visit my grandmother in africa I was extremly surprised at the caring for one another. Strangers would give you an extra cent if someone steals something from you they chase them down.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has there own defention of love.
ReplyDelete@vannessa is'nt that everyday for people like that?
ReplyDelete@ Gurinder,
ReplyDeleteVery true, media has ruined our insights on love, and hate.
ReplyDelete@ tron whats the superstition part of the holiday there is always a reason they do it if its superstition, like if you don't celebrate it or something else happens.
ReplyDeleteGurinder youre wrong because without love you wouldnt be in thisd world and if you didnt love you may become a stressed out hobo on the streets because you wouldnt be able to love studies like being a doctor and you need to love whta youre doing to be able to be a great doctor
ReplyDeleteAnd Mr.Cheney youre not much of a Phill he has hair wears a suit and gets paid to do what he does i guess for what you do you get made fun of for not having alot of hair
everyone has there own defintion of love, which means they'll all show it in different ways, like sharing food for instance.
ReplyDeleteThe world is going to become more and more hateful, resources are going to run out,and then love is going to be more simplified (hate aswell)
ReplyDeleteThis vicious downhill pattern will continue until everything diminishes and everyone is left with meaningless, ''false'' feelings.
ReplyDeletethis love u speak of, it should be an ever lasting emotion, not the celebration you call valentines day. this is what you call a nuisance
ReplyDelete@sharpshooter , yeah im talking about the card company, and yeah i think hallmark invented valentines day to get more money.
ReplyDeletei see love not as a thing, but more like a feeling
ReplyDeletewhen you like a person you get that what I call the dangerous feeling, because it can sometimes get you in trouble. it can hurt you, make you do crazy things, kill you, so i see it as a long shot, Mr.Cheney says risk reward, well love is what i see, high risk, and no reward
Mr. Cheney, good new Josh is coming to the tournament tomorrow so we should have our full team, so you can sleep well tonight :P
ReplyDeleteyeah i agree with what vanessa and talwinder because everyone does have their owm meanings and however they see loove, thats what they think love is and tron master, why would you say its an superstition and its just a day to express your feelings i guess unless hallmark really did create it :p
ReplyDeleteI think that most people only know about love because of the society. I mean, many of us probably dont have a strong feeling of love for someone(couple related). How could you know what loves is if you have never been in a relationship? Of coarse loving your parents is different to you loving your partner. Thats what i think.
ReplyDeleteyeah i agree with Pamela but what gurinder is talking about is a different type of love since he's more of the one specific category person . I'm not sure how to put it in words or explain it, he'll have to fend for himself on that one.
ReplyDelete@ Adam what do you mean by high risk no reward? as in well you fall in love then you get heart broken when they break up with you kinda thing.
@ Cheney so some people aren't really in love. I agree but what i think is that people that say they are in love when the are really not, because it just works. From what I think is that people that rush as you said are just in love with the idea of love not that they are in love at all.
ReplyDeletei think people are in relationships because they like someone but they are only dating them because they want to be in love with they do,not for who they are.Its just life!!
ReplyDeletesharpshooter i agree with your idea because it's true alot of teens and some older adults are like this as well, maybe they dont want to get heart broken so they pretend to love someone so they can stay together, and they end up staying together for the wrong reasons.
