i agree with alyssa "surprising" but i also agree with bailee because i expected him to be at the cliff at the end of the book the entire plot was heading towards the cliff... but i was really surprised that he tryed to commit suicide... i thought he had to much to live for...
predictable because when you see what hes doing you would expect that he would try to suicide for example going down the escalator the only reason he actually got down safe was because sean was watching him go down and the mall stairs his dad or mom wouldve been watching. But the gorge David mightve wanted to bleed to death but sean came so he "ran" away and was about to go over the cliff but sean was there(he wouldve gone faster but he was injured so bad that it hurt to go down
I agree that it was suprising but it was sad as well because he hates his life! cause he cant walk for the rest of his life. he must have really suffered to come to a point of thinking of suicde.
cliche since i already knew that would happen the way the author was writeing it would happen like in movies the way it plays out is that they are in a place where the think what they are looking for is there. Or if the pearson mentions about the place they would be there
It's frighting because we know David is wreakless and doesn't care about his life. But in the book it never said that he would sucicide. So it's frightning to see what he would do for hating his life.
I agree with talwinder, i think that david being at the edge of the gorge is scandalous because i think people are going to be thinking and talking about it for a long time because its something drastic that david did because its not like him going down the escalator, its more dangerous then that because theres rocks at the end of the cliff
Pamela i think that even if David was going to kill himself it won't be the end because their would still be a reason that would cause a change in the characters in the book like;sean and he would change completely and so would his future
And i also think that david is jeopardous (risky) because at the same time david wants to commit sucide because he gives up .. when he thought about it he may never get his legs back and his dreams may never come true so he rather just give up now then later .. so yea david is jeopardous because he does very high risky stuff.. david was in denial before when he was so sure that they will find a cure for his legs but after he thought about it i guess he went out of denial. sean doesn't want david to give up .. sean somewhat still has faith that there will be a cure one day but david shouldn't just give up like that so i think david is very risky at this point .. will he countine to go down the trail of the gorge or come back home with sean?
but what is more shocking is if sean gives on getting davis to come home and sean leaves to get ready for the dance david's mom calls and ask if david's at sean's house but then sean's mom says no then when david's mom finds out that sean lied to her there could be a chance of david being dead then there is another point that david's mom will never trust sean for telling a lie when its her child that is at risk and we all know that david's in awheel chair and he is bleeding so far so this story is getting more and more interesting by a sentence.
well the author may have been heading there but i still found it surprising because not all the books i read have such a dramatic ending like this one did.
well im stating my fact because this story to me might end sad, happy, ugly who know but all we need to do is just to understand the fact that this can result in to the fact that there might an incedint where david's mom will find out that sean lied and then get really angry because as i said it's her child at risk.
cameron you know how you said that david got really angry at sean for coming and looking for him and that was a stupid reason to get full of anger. well i was kind of expected david to get all angry because throughout the book david was always getting angry at people like those highschool kids and david probably thought that sean was taking pity on him by seaeching.
i agree that david's mom is going to be really mad at sean beacuse he didn't tell her that he wasn't at school.sean lost trust on that.but findind david at the gorge is not that surprizing beacuse we know that he like to go there to think by himself
no david was covering how touched he was that someone other than his parents cared that much about him with some anger and eventually his true feeling shown threw kinda roamnticized
yes i agree with Heli that David's mom is going to get mad at him because just like before when they got into fight with the teenagers David got hurt and he was afraid that his mom might yell at him because she said no to David for fighting with anyone.
i think that davids mom might get mad at Sean to because he never said anything to davids mom and when she is going to she all those scraches on David she is really going to get mad at Sean and David because he never told anyone anything not even his parents. so she is going to be really mad at them
finding david at the end of the cliff was very suprising and cray because david well knows his mom will be angry at him because he was about to kill himself for the sake of getting over the depression of being in a wheel chair.
or maybe sean and david wont even tell them the truth maybe they will make some random lie like they did when they got into a fight with those 2 highschool kids that is if david doent die at the end of the book but i dont think he will
yes jan101 i agree with you because you stated a very good fact what i didnt say that you thought i did was that david was going to die but what i was saying was like david wont die because he might open up on his feeling and wont commit suicide or try to go back to the gorge and remind him of the memories of what was the past and yet known of what will no longer be.
surprising
ReplyDeleteit was surprising because i actually wasn't expecting for him to find david there.
Surprising and shocking because you know that David hates his life, but you would never except him to try to suside
ReplyDeletei agree with alyssa it was suprizing but i did expect Sean to end up finding David at the gorge
ReplyDeletei know right , i thought he would be somewhere else but atleast sean found him and he didnt suicde !! so inn a word it would be surprising
ReplyDeleteexpected because david had told sean how he liked it there and that when he could walk again he wouold throw the whellchair off the cliff
ReplyDeleteI found it very Scandalous because david was at the gorge nd maybe thinking to do sucicide .. buh i may be wrong. it was very unexpecting.
ReplyDeleteBut lets see what happens in the end of the book.
relief
ReplyDeletei agree with alyssa "surprising" but i also agree with bailee because i expected him to be at the cliff at the end of the book the entire plot was heading towards the cliff... but i was really surprised that he tryed to commit suicide... i thought he had to much to live for...

ReplyDeletetalwinder i do not see how it is scandalous but maybe i'm not seeing it the way you are. could you explain.
ReplyDeletei found it very suspectable because all davids actions thus far have made the conclusion of him dwelling on suicide forseen.
ReplyDeletecliche since i already knew that would happen the way the author was writeing it would happen like in movies the way it plays out is that they are in a place where the think what they are looking for is there. Or if the pearson mentions about the place they would be there
ReplyDeleteFrightning it is very frightning!!!

ReplyDeleteI mean, you cant stop someone from doing something they want. Oh , it wasnt really suprising.

ReplyDeletei dont think hes going to kill himself, cause if he did then the book would of ended from there :|

ReplyDeletesurprising beacuse I thought that when David turned the corner I thought that he would just roll off the edge instead of just sitting there.
