  2. He does seem very helpful and worried about Davids well being

  3. Sean is pathetic because he is worrying about David to much and had to search for david himself instead of trying to call the cops to look for David himself.

  4. I agree very sympathetic- why does David assume that sympathy is pity?

    ReplyDelete
  5. supportive
sean is supportive because hes always there for david when he needs help or by himself.

    ReplyDelete
  6. no but this a situation where sean is put in the middle of a tricky situation that he dosnt (unsure) know about

  7. I agree with pamela i think sean is supportive because hes always with david and helping him with stuff that he can't do and david is also helping season by teaching him his basketball tips/skills

    ReplyDelete
  8. I think Sean is thoughtful because he helps David whenever he needs help, and he always helps David even when he doesn't ask for help

  9. in a word is Talwinder is David : SUPPORTIVE of Sean?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well david is supportive of sean at sometimes

  11. I think that David Thinks that sympathy is pity because he has been through a lot with him being in a wheelchair, and from previous experiences he can relate that everyone just says they understand when simply they just feel bad for him, and they are, in a way, saying that they're better then him, by putting him down. This is an example which shows that when people are "sympathetic", or that they understand, they're just trying to make you feel good and not alone, but also in a way it is human nature to feel bad, but feeling bad is expressing pity, and then said person, who is David in this case, with experiencing this memory over and over, would see this.

  12. Friendly
He is friendly because he is spending his time to go look for David like a friend would.

    ReplyDelete
  13. sean is a cool dude. who's great friends with david. trys to pity him but ends not, to show that david isn't stupid enough to, do things on his own.

    ReplyDelete
  14. A great friend since he worries about David alot since he's gone he was searching for David himself instead of just forgeting about him and ignoreing him and go hang with scott. Like a backup friend

    ReplyDelete
  15. @ talwinder what do you mean by David is supportive?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sean does seem most sincere in his friendship with David

    ReplyDelete
  17. Torn between his friendship with david or sticking up caroline

    ReplyDelete
  18. David is supportive only by a few reasons , he helps seaon with backetball and he teaches sean how to be in his shoes by being in his wheelchair.

    ReplyDelete
  19. what I think is that David and Sean are very intelligent but if I were to pick a word that describes them i would say "adventurous"

    ReplyDelete
  20. Zak what do you mean he is sticking up caroline?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Torn: what a great WORD...this could be the winner...we shall see

    ReplyDelete
  22. i think sean is kind, because he's looking for david when he still has to get ready for a dance , but for david thats pity

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think at this point of the story seans a little lost.because him having to deal with adult things like girls and David and him doing stupid stuff that are not going to put him back in the hospital but buried in the while his parents are crying that hes dead.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @ talwinder what i mean is that he is dicthing his appointment with caroline to look for david so he has to decide wich is more worthwhile

    ReplyDelete
  25. ... stupid... cause why dont he tell davids mom , maybe they would of found him by now but nooo ...

    ReplyDelete
  26. i think caroline is important 2 sean , but david is more, but maybe after looking he migh still go to the dance with her and david is found!

    ReplyDelete
  27. sharpshooter sean is not pathetic he is a good friend

    ReplyDelete
  28. samii he doesnt tell because he doesnt think its something to worry about right now and doesnt want to firstly get david in trouble for dicthing and secondly worry davids mother

    ReplyDelete
  29. for something he doesnt know yet is worth woorying about

    ReplyDelete
  30. mr cheney and thamil sean is amusing because he mysterious and wondering he is different you want to know whats he going to do next.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @ messizak that's what you see but what i saw i sean for that part is that pathetic we all see everything diffrently

    ReplyDelete
  32. I agree that Sean is unsure because he never seems enthusiastic about most things David wants to do, for example things like going to the dances.

    ReplyDelete
  33. sharpshooter please elaborate for me how is he pathetic

    ReplyDelete
  34. @ messizak sean is pathetic because he is to afraid to hang around david or be seeen with him whenever he sees scott

    ReplyDelete
  35. hes not afraid to be with david he jsut doesnt want scott and davids two tempers to collide so hes looking out for david not afraid of bieng seen with him its all elementary sharpshooter

    ReplyDelete
  36. @ messi zak there was a part where he really didn't wan't to be seen with david at the roller rink

    ReplyDelete
  37. because he promised to be there with scott so he is still looking out for david

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sean played a tricky game at the roller rink. And it seemed at that point that he didnt want to be seen with david. But as we have learned and grown from the book so has Sean. He is clearly a dedicated friend but it has been a journey. Like many REAL friendships they take time to develop.

wow great back and forth dialogue!!! shout out galore to all the great conversation. I think the best this year from some people.

    ReplyDelete
  39. That is a way you could put it , sean playing a tricky game with david, but i guess david outsmarted sean by showing up at the roller rink and sean being surprised that david has the guts to 'snitch' on scott, nick, and gavin.

And yes cheney it does take a long time for a friendship to build trust etc.

  40. At this point of the book I think Sean's a little lost. Because him being over whelmed by all the people he has to deal with like Scott and his gang, David and Caroline. It’s hard seeing your friend that’s in a wheelchair that takes risks and doing dangerous stuff, then comes your "girlfriend" and your old friends.

    ReplyDelete
  41. pathetic because he does not like to be see with certain people

    ReplyDelete
  42. brown ace how is david understanding ,caring, and kind

    ReplyDelete
  43. @ why are you talking about david being in the wheelchair, it is just a tool the author used and refering to on how it would be like if your friend was in a wheelchair

    ReplyDelete
  44. stephanie i dont think he is pathetic just because he doesnt like certain people explain more

    ReplyDelete
  45. i agree with blue jay how is he understanding, caruing and kind

    ReplyDelete
  46. stephanie what do you mean by he is pathetic explain.

    ReplyDelete
  47. just because he avoids ceartin people doesn't mean he is pathetic.
