David does act suicidal since he keeps doing dangerous stunts like going down escalaters and crossing the streets without looking, like he's trying to kill himself.
I think that David is suicidal and that Sean is not making this up in his head because I think that David is depressed, and therefore he doesnt value life as much as a person who's happy and has all of God's blessings. The reason why i think he's depressed is because he feel as no one thinks of him as a normal person and that he lost a majority of his motor skills, and since he was so good at his sport, he must feel depressed at losing one of his best skills, therefore he might be suicidal. Another thought is that he could be suicidal because he might have nothing to lose, hes already in a wheelchair, the next thing could be that he could be immobalized, but he will still be in a wheelchair.
I beilive that sean is making this up in his head because david may be doing all those dangerous stuff but he has the right because its not like us waking up in the morning and having a perfect day , david has to go through pain of people laughing at him etc. so i think daving is just acting alittle reckless buh who are we to judge that.

Therefore I think that David is rather a mix of Suicidal and reckless, but he is more suicidal because there is more evidence to prove it, and recklessness has proof to some degree, but suicidal is what I think he is. Evidence: He has nothing to live for, he lost control of his lower body, and he might feel that he has no value to himself if he cant even do anything without assistance from a device (wheelchair), and he feels helpless. I also think that from a child's perspective, you would do anything to lessen the pain on your parents, if you were a good child, so to lessen the sorrow and pity, he would dispose of himself. this is why i think he would dispose and stop polluting the world with his fleshy presence

I do not think that David is as far gone as suicidal but he is very upset and feels like nothing that happens to him will be as bad as the accident. He thinks that if he had fallen down that escalator, it would just have been another scrape or bruise compared to the accident. To him, getting hurt will not get him out of the chair so he feels that it dosen't matter. So David is not necassarily suicidal but very upset and not accepting his loss.

i think that what sean said just now when we read proved him to be a loyal friend and without his help david would be in worse condition
