We should'nt judge a person by their actions because they may not always act like that and maybe their just doing it to maybe be funny :).

  2. I don't think we should judge a book by its cover until you have infered and read the book because juddging the book before you have read is just plain in wrong in other words you have a new student in your class and you talk behind her back and at the end of the school year shes her best friend .. just like saying you jugde its book by saying eww that books semms boribng and digusting and the end you read the whole book and get ejngaged and want to start reading the whole seris.. connecting back to grade 7 i didn't like harry potter and the end i loved to read j.k rowling books.

  4. i dont think we should judge a book by its coverr... because in the book david and sean started off not likeing each other and sean kind of judge him because of his wheelchair but now in the end of the book david is seans best friend soo that should prove to never judge a book by its coverr... because first of all people dont look like who they are sooo judging them would just be plain wrong

  5. actions speak greater than words so if you dont judge people by their actions how can u judge them? because actions are what defines a person however u have to dig deeper than just what appears on the surface of their actions the real meaning behind their actions the reason why they act that way

  7. u shouldnt judge a book by its cover means you shouldnt come to conclutions about how peoples personalities are and what they are thinking also you should try to understand that person and an example of understanding is when sean told david he understood how he felt and then explained

    ReplyDelete
  8. we shouldnt judge people but when it comes to such as picking your friends or being safe u need to know the kind of person a person is the best way to do it is by watching their actions and how they react to a situation.

  9. i think we should "judge" people by their actions because even if it is wrong they should know not to do it but since they have chosen to do it that already says something about them.

    ReplyDelete
  10. but it stills matters wat the situation is ,because because the sitiation is wat makes the person react

  11. its not right to judge someone by there cover, how they look, what people look like is nothin g to judge. the actions people make is how they want us to see them as, so their actions make up their charactor

    ReplyDelete
  12. i think that we should evaluate people based on there actions because people have different perspective also because if you will not evaluate people by there actions then how are you going to evaluate them, you could evaluate them by there culture and there colour of the skin but if you really want to know a person's personality then it is really based on there action.

  13. i think you should judge a person by their actions because there actions can say alot about them like if you judge a book by its cover say it has a bloody knife on it so you would probaly think it is about someone getting killed so someones actions can say alot about them, but so can there words.

  14. yea i agree with sweetu , but its not even right to judge people by their words but i have a question why do judges get to judge people by their words???

  17. I also agree on sweetu because his paragraph is sort of rasist because you can't judge them based on the backround say if white person is smart and the other is dumb you can't judge them by that you have to jugde them buy who they are and what there personailty is.

    ReplyDelete
  18. yeah i agree with stephanie because people's actions do say alot about someone's character.

    ReplyDelete
  19. you should evaluate a pearson by their action, and by what was the reason just because they do something doesn't mean that is the way they are mabey it is just to specific people because they
    have a history with them

  20. Wait i meant i disagree with sweetu*

  21. i don't think that we should judge a person by their actions beacuse in the beginning of the book we knew david as harsh and mean.beacuse how he surprised sean on the first day of school.but soon we figured out that david was actully was hurt when people feel pity on him.
we have to find what the real reson why people act that way they do

    ReplyDelete
  22. hahaa talwinder and yess i agree with you because sweetu said that you should judge people by there skin and culture... soo i would disagree with sweetu

    ReplyDelete
  23. yess but heli you saying you should judge somebody by there apperance ... sean sort of gave david a second chance soo judgeing them by there actions would be the only to truly get to know someone

    ReplyDelete
  24. just to be clear dont judge a person by their cover means to not judge people based on how they look their actions are the book speaking theoretically

    ReplyDelete
  25. yea that part is wrong but i agree with the part near the end in sweetus answer

    ReplyDelete
  26. i dont think we should judge a book and a person by their by their action because we are all different in a way but we cant just go around and see people and automaticly think that they cant do anything for thmselves so we go and help the because they are crippled and they cant do anything for themselves we need to think about these thing just like what happends to david all the time people always{mostly}judge him because he is dissabled.

    ReplyDelete
  27. i disagree with heli because peoples actions make up thier character, and David does have a harsh side but he can be a nice guy, sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  28. no you can not judge a book by its cover or by its actions. for example david when you think of a person in a wheelchair you would think of a calm guy that dosnt really do much but then you look at david and he is totally off of wat you think a person in a wheelchair would think. he gets into fights and is a wizz at basketball , the only pple who could really JUDGe david is sean and caroline, pple who really sat down and got to know him as a person

  29. it is very clear that evaluating people is not something that should be done in a brief moment or one or two observations.

Rather, it is an ongoing process that like any type of knowledge is constantly changing. The friends we have constantly change and we constantly change and thus we are always evaluating the people around us an the roles they play in our lives. So the practice of evaluating a persons actions is always happening.

So yes because a person acts "bad" one day is not enough evidence to assume they are always bad, but what happens when that person is "bad" time after time?

A persons actions speaks infinite volumes about their morals and values and likely when actions follow a predictable pattern we as an observer need to evaluate this evidence and decided what roles that person needs to play in your life.

referring back to a former point, making friends is a long ever changing process and evaluating the people around us (parents, teachers, peers) is just the same.

    nothing is easy

    ReplyDelete
  30. ya thats exactly what i mean when relate this to david you have to spend enough time with him to really he is bad, espeshally that because he sends out mixed signals like for example the time he met sean they got into a fight but when he met the bobo's he was totally sweet.

because most commomly when pple thinkl of pple in a wheelchair they wont think of davids personality

so you can go anywhere and look at a person and see how he is dressed, where he lives, what kind of food he eats and get an opinion but its nothing like actualy meeting and getting to know a person just like what sean did with david.

only then you can really judge and know that you are right about that person

    ReplyDelete
  31. I dont think that you should judge a book by its cover, or a person by their actions, because maybe when you saw them doing something, they could have just been in a bad mood or they just dont know what to do. If you need to judge a person by their actions then you would need to be around them alot so you could see how they act with other people and if their actually a good person or a bad person because you cant judge a person by meeting them for a day

    ReplyDelete
  32. ya most pple judge out of inocence and usually that inocence gets the better of them and when they finqally meet the person their statment is totally off

    ReplyDelete
  33. just like when people dont really talk to the person but they judge them based on what they heard from other people

    ReplyDelete
  34. being judgmental is easy - and we almost always do it, all the time. You have to make a real effort to keep yourself open and avoiding passing judgment.

    ReplyDelete
  35. in other context cheney your saying that you have to take over your ego and just keep your comment (judgemental) to yourself?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I hope more then just keeping it to yourself but work to not be judgmental at all. But keeping it to yourself may be an essential first step to doing this.

Keeping to yourself still means we are being judgmental

    ReplyDelete
  37. talwinder judgemental is when you judge people based on what they look like or what you heard about them, if your keeping your comment to yourself your still being judgemental because your thinking about how they are instead getting to know them properly

    ReplyDelete
  38. but is there not a time when passing a judgement on a person is neccessary indeed u must be open to a change in the persons character but intill that time u have to be wary of what there capable of

    ReplyDelete
  39. no we should not judge a person by its action he or she could be acting anyway but you only see them from the outside if you want to see what they are from the inside you have to go with them and know the reason they are acting the way they are so only then you know who the person truly is.
