  2. The King movie was interesting because i got to know alot about Martin Luther King this way, like the things i didnt know and how he wasnt actually a leader from childhood , but it was his desicion to fight for the blacks rights equal to the whites rights

  3. spectacularous*
because the way martin never gave up on anything
has "INSPIRED" at least 80½% of us to never give up when it comes to somehting we want.
It also comes to show what great knowledge and courage DR.Martin Luther King had had during his fight for salvery.
The movie was well producted, seeing how after every scene there was always a diffrent person talking; which i think made it seem as if they were there witnessisng those certain events or closures and it kinda had a ring to, but i don't know how to explain it.

  6. The king movie was also realistic, the way they played their roles, the way they acted, and the guy who played martin luthur king did a very good job, it actucally made me think that it was him. Now i know how to do our under ground railroad movie, we have to not only play the character but also be the character itself.

  7. the king movie was interesting and it gave alot of background info about ml king that we did not know about.we knew all the basic info but after watching the movie you get to know more about king and what goes on when he is not fighting for what he belives in

  8. The King DVD was very informative. To know that MLK jr was not born a leader, and that pressure and the scenarios around him lead him to become a very renown leader in USA,lets me think about how humans are complex. You can't decribe a human in one or two characteristics. For Example,MLk jr was fighting for peace, but he had so much stress that he had to turn to smoking to get him through the day.

  9. @NL, how was the movie relistic and interesting, please explain.

  10. very informated and intrestin since it explained alot about MLK then just that he wanted to desegregate the south like how he is a smoker since he is very stressed from all the speeches he gave.

  11. the movie was very informative, in-depth, realistic, emotional at some parts, becasue the movie gave a lot of info. but it was still interesting to watch the part where Martin Luther King jr. dies is a little emotional because he gave hope to people across the globe and was a major role model as well he gave guidence and taught people Mahatama Ghandi's rule of non-violence.

  12. the word that I'm thinking is the word how people would say heart braking because you would think that he would finish the goal before he gets shot and you would want to watch more of it. You would say he's not dead and believe that it is suppose to continue on with the movie. Another word i would say is unexpected because of how he died on the balcony in the morning. I would have thought that he would die in the night when he was taking a walk around the town or city. those are my words that i think describe the movie to me

  13. K.O.C what I mean by that is that I just thought that MLK always had the whole leader ship thing in him but after watching the movie I see he actualy never knew his future would be like what it was.

  14. The movie was good because doesn't just show you what he did to end segregation it shows you how he became the leader to end it. it tells you that he wasn't born to lead.

  15. It was realistic because the infomation was so precise and right on.It was interesting because they never stayed on one thing for too long and always changed it at the right time.

  16. it's that you die a hero or you live long enough to see that you become the villain

  17. In a word the King movie was very entertaining and educational...

  18. @ KOC i agree with you on how they had diffrent people narrating diffrent parts since that it showed all the diffrent people that belive what MLK believed in

  19. the king DVD was ok but alittle bit boring because at some points it was just talking about the most boringest things that i wouldnt think of,like i would of found it more interesting of there was more action and like a mystery.

  20. It was informing beacuse I learned facts I never knew I always thought Doctor King Died when he was giving his famous I have a Dream speech. Other than That the movie was like a telescope into the lives of coloured people at the time.

  21. what i mean is that you would get killed for what you think is right or see that when you live long the everyone thinks that your doing the wrong

  22. @Cameron I agree...I thought he'd die alone somewhere at night on top of a balcony window, not by a sniper shot in daylight infront of a 2 story building. The murderer just didn't understand what MLK jr was doing for the world. The work he was doing for the world was phenominal,it was monumental. How many changes he was making to millions and influencing even more people to become ''little MLKS'' to better the world.

  23. @Sami Can you please extend yours, how is it educational ?

    ReplyDelete
  24. @ gurinder i agree i thought that he was killed to

  25. I think the King movie was in-depth because it went beyond what we always here about him- he was an amazing leader and stood for what he believed in was right even if everyone else didn't. But in the movie it showed that but also showed him at home and in different places where he wasn't sure if he wanted to lead and other things like that where if we think of MLK we don't think of him doing that.

  26. Just the insight into hesitations about going to Memphis is something that we never hear about

    ReplyDelete
  27. It was also a marvel for me because I never thought the resilence of the southerners to hold onto their beliefs were that strong it really helped me in visualising what it was like.

  28. the hatred was deeply imbedded in the culture.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree with you mr.cheney, the hate is related to their race, if they were white they'd be treated like royal, if they were black they'd be treated like garbage .. things change over time.

  30. you remember John Quincy Adams speech Talwinder in reference to Amistad!

  31. its very educational because i never knew martin luther king. went threw so much, i thought he was a born leader, but when i watched this film i learned facts about martin luther king. that ive never known .

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Sami I thought that he had been a born leader too because when we learn about him at school that's what we are taught;that he was a born leader. But in the movie it showed us that he wasn't sure if he wanted to lead and it went beyond what we usually here about him. The movie was quite interesting, educational and in-depth.

  33. @alyssa and sami i thought the same thing until i watched the movie and relized the ml king was not born a leader but leadership came to him and i agree it was very eductional and indept just like the pool said most of our class thinks that

    ReplyDelete
  34. i thought the same, cuse since i was small, i heard great things about him and i thought he was a born leader from eversince.but really he wasnt and i found out alot more bout Martin Luther King things i never knew, like he smokes and i really didnt know that

  35. MLK seems like the common person. He had fears and reservations about his own skills. He is a far greater role model knowing he felt the same insecurities as we do when it comes to leadership.

  36. I thought that the movie was very sporadic because all the events popped out of nowhere, like one second there is a city desegregated, and another second there is a massacre going on in another city, where Martin Luther King Jr. has to deal with. But it allowed us to comprehend what being a leader must be like, our stereotypes wiped away, a new clean slate with opened eyes to truly understand what he went through to achieve true freedom for his race. Most of us think that leaders are totally selfless, but the movie showed Martin Luther King Jr. at a time putting his family before others. Leaders are also human, they're not superheros. The movie did an amazing job with showing true leadership as a main idea.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I agree with talha, leaders are humans but they're not superheros, leaders lead other people thus putting there postion of authority before family .. and the movie did an excellent job at showing MLK jr. life.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think the Martin Luther King movie was interesting because it told us alot about Martin Luther King and about his life, it also told us what happened in his life during the whole period of time.

    ReplyDelete
  39. until what i saw i think that the movie Martin Luther king was realistic because it really showed the movie as if the real characters were acting out and the dialogues and the speeches was like amazing you know the way Martin Luther King acted out was realistic too. it was also informative because it gave us some information about his life that i personally didn't knew. so until what i saw i think that the movie was both realistic and informative.

    ReplyDelete
  40. i agree with talha too the way he said the the leaders are humans but they're not superheros, leaders lead other people thus putting there position of authority before family, and i also think that the movie king did a really good job about showing and acting like martin Luther king and about his life too.
