we could sort of tranform Mr.Cheney's storage room into the house of a slave and use the library as the auctio place because it has a stage and the buyers could sit at the tables
in mr cheney rememberance day movie i liked the part of how they show a part of the movie then they show the title at the begining. that part can be where we show the auction.

What we could do is start of the movie by having an old lady relating the story to a circle of listeners like on a park bench because its black history month. Then as she is speaking the scenes from the movie can start to appear and at times she can be narrating and at others we can voice the actors thoughts. And at times like when the slaves are running away we can shift from colour to black and white like in King.

what we can do is probably transform the class into a slave oxtion hall, so some people in the class are slave buyers and they are trying to buy the slaves.
We can also have someone be a white man who comes from canada and when he sees the stark realization of what slavery is in the south is utterly shocked. So that is how to begin making a movie. Lets get serious about roles. Acting come much later. Research, scene summaries, scripts, story boards (sketches and plans for camera shots), find transition photos, montage plan.
we should make teams in charge of blocks rather then entire movie. Thus we will need 6 production teams to over see all details for each block
I want to do the capture sence(montage)Im kind of good at these out of suprise capturing like some ransom things but the only difference is your captured to be a slave....I will have to do alot of thinking for this and it has to sound like (and look like) a suprise attack.
I have a good idea for the last scene (freedom scene). So at the end of the railroad they came to Canada so I was thinking that when they make it there we could show the canadian flag that's in the front of the school. Then we could show them trying to find a home or something. I didn't come up with much but it's a start.
What we could do for the road to freedom is have the slaves plan their escape and how they used safe homes Thamil said we can use his house for a safe home.
for the auction scene, we can use the the podium in the large gym as where the judge stands, or maybe for where the "victums" have to stand, you know behind it

we could have slave catchers in a scene with their hunting dogs into a forest place where the slaves are walking/running super quietly and then the slaves hear slave catchers with their dogs coming.
ok master chief i want to be in the road to freedome group.and i do have an idea when they escaping and they are on the trail following the north star right. they will have to stop to get food and water.so they stop at a house with the lanter, it's a sign that they support the black people,.and we can show that the slaves are full of fear and they don't know what to do next.
the slaves usede to communicate during song so there owners would not know they were planing to escape maybe we coud put that in the movie but then we would have to figure out wat song they sang or we would have to make it up
Perhaps between the Road to freedom and the freedom scene we could have a segment with an actor portraying John Brown. John Brown could be on his way to a slaver's house to massacre them, and John Brown could kill a slaver from the slaver's point of view, like literally seeing from their eyes. We can do this by using black construction paper over the camera lense to impersonate the slavers eyes, and whilst he is sleeping, John brown and his troops make a commotion and that wakes him up to the fearsome sight of John Brown, and he is holding a sword or something, with a voiceover of the slaver, and then John Brown Slashes down, but then everything goes dark, and then a view of the house from the outside can be shown with the screaming of the slaver. I dont know how half the stuff will be possible, but i think its plausible to attempt, What do you think?
#3-for the auction part like janat said we can use the speech table in the gym that they used for the speeches that brown thing that they also use at assembles.that can be whre the person stands who is auction them off then someone else can be bringing then in having to untie then from the rest and put then in a different place so later we can show the slave owned pick then up
I think that the capture scene is a good idea with the camera on the ground and first a slave running past and then the capturers going past. Then the camera could pan out and show the take down/capture. It's a good idea to get the audience intrigued so they will continue to watch the movie. But I have to ask again. Who will be doing the freedom scene? I will be but I've noticed most people are doing the capture or road to freedom scenes. Those are great scenes but the freedom scene is important too because it's the final scene and shows them finally getting to freedom after a long and hard journey. I'm just wondering because I can't do the scene by myself.
