Hello class, an unexpected absence for me today.
1. Please post and give me updates about our drive.
2. Please go back to the Eric Walters Post and look though his site and send him an email. Post on the blog when you have finished and sent your letter
3. Now that I have finished marking your main idea I discover that a few have you have not finished. Please finish and send.
4. research on line what will be the best way to spend our food drive money. You will have to discover cost per item (ie if 20 juices cost 4.50 you have to solve for how much each individual one costs. you can do this by dividing the amount of juices into the cost.) Post your discoveries on the food can post. Diapers are the most important item but also a good price per item if you can find a good bargin!
You can google search wal mart/ shoppers drug mart/no frills/loblaws/costco
I hope that we will maximize our computer ti absense me and have more then the 6 posts the class had during a hour computer lab period on my last.
We have $155 for the diapers and we have 121 food cans items
ReplyDeletemore people have brought in money today about 50%
ReplyDeletewe now have 120 items in our food drive.
ReplyDelete1. we have $155 ! And i brought in my last item to add on to 19.
ReplyDeletei mean 121 food items
ReplyDeletea few more people brought in items so now we have 120 items. we also have $155.
ReplyDeleteOUR FOOD DRIVE S GOING GR8 WE HAVE 155$ we got over half the classes money including mine
ReplyDeletei dont know about the food items though
mr cheney our class in the money way is doing pretty well we have gotten $155 but the 100 percent contribution is not going very well only 48 percent of our class have brought in the money 12 of 25 people brought in the money. we have 121 food items.
ReplyDeleteAt walmart if you buy a box of huggies diapers you will also be donating a dollar to families in need so its a double good, the price is not listed however.
ReplyDeleteok mrcheney so far we have 120 items and $155.me talwinder and pamala decided to only colour the termometer to 80 so all the others classes think we are not trying this year. msjaffer was trying to get out our secret of how we are colecting yhe cans but noone told.lots of people gave in money today but talwinder is hoping to get all by items by monady so we can no an avarge total.we are looking up places were the dipers and foods for the food drive so far we have costco and walmart.
ReplyDeletei probably will bring something tomorrow or next week so our chanaces are growing each day....and it is just making us win everyday well were getting there!!
ReplyDeleteI think that our food drive is going good because we already have alot of money and alot of food cans, i think were having alot of participation.
ReplyDeleteI go against internet flyers, they do not show the price !!!!
ReplyDelete50% is a good ...i means we reached our goal 1st goal but just one day late...are the others still planning on bringing in their money and food items? nobody has officially said no right? my leaders need to help out and keep the class informed and keep the goals moving. Lets aim for 75% of class money by Friday!!!! doable?

ReplyDeleteIts great that Walmart donates money...this could mean that we donate to three worthy causes in our drive.
ReplyDelete1)i finshed bringing my items (all 20)
ReplyDelete2) uh dont we need you to read it first or should we just sent it???
the 100% participation is not going very well. yesterday our goal was for 50% participation and we're still not there today. we have to work harder people!
ReplyDeleteThe drive is going slowly along, maybe half of the people have donated.I've given another 15 dollars,so that's 25 dollars i've given in total. The names of the people that haven't donated, have been listed on the board.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the food drive will reach 1700.There wasn't a strong start. It's only been 2 days though. The toy drive will end on friday while the food drive goes until wednesday.
Mr cheney, i have reminded everyone as well as gurinder, but more people are willing to pay more than brunging food can items, four people have complete they're 20 items
ReplyDeleteat shoppers drugmart the baby life mega diapers are 12.99$ and the baby life natural baby wipes are 10.99$
ReplyDeleteanybody NOT donating money? we dont want false hopes about our potential. At the moment we have unlimited potential but it can crash if we are indeed limited by our willingness to participate.
ReplyDeleteBringing *

ReplyDeleteWe seem to still have the passion...lets keep on going. And a big thank you for those that have gone beyond our class goals. Bringing in more the $10 and 20 food items is a strong reflection on the character of those students.
ReplyDeletebut don't let those that donate more be a reason for other to donate less. To validate their extra donation we ALL must be true to our goals
Were going back to class, period over. Byes
ReplyDeletei think the class is not doing so bad because half of the class brought in the money everybody is saying theyll bring in the money but it is if they bring it because if we have hopes and somebody doesnt bring it. but in the money race were not doing so bad. we havee 155$ and cameron is saying to bring in 40$ AFTER lunch that us get us to 195$almost to 200$ only 50$ LESS THANOUR FORMULA.
ReplyDelete250 is the goal for everybody bringing in 10 dollars...it cant be replaced by 17 students bringing in 250. Its not the same. The Goal is TEAM TEAM TEAM...we must all participate equally...anything extra is amazing but NOT a replacement. We want to be clear about this.
ReplyDeleteThere will be far reaching consequences to our team if people don't get involved (if you committed to being involved!!!). It will undermine all team activities we do for the year because there will always be a justified self doubt in our abilities.
I'm gonna bring money and food on Monday
