i think he is a very stubborn and demanding man because when will and john walked in to the office he said that no one at the desks even looked at them to see who was they wanted so you could tell that all he cared about was making money he didnt even concider closing down the office and obeying the fire wards rules and now he is going to pay the price
What came to mind when the manger said was that the man was a kleptomaniac and a guy who lives for his job. If a building was burning beside I would for sure have evacuated.
i dont think that the manager had the right reaction to Johns decision. if a plane had hit a building right across from yours, especially if it was the WTC, then taking drastic action (in this case, evacuating the floor) was necassary. also, john is the fire warden for the floor so he has the right to make that decision.
i thought theat the guys business is more important than anyone or anything else. He's probably doing all the work for the money because the man is greedy and has gone mad with power
i think that was the biggest mistake he made in his whole life because we all know in the end the 2nd plane hits the south tower and most likely he wouldve died
i think that the manger had the wrong recation to john.john was the fire warden so john had the right to say that he should leave the building.another reason was cuz everyone kept saying john was ther leader of the company but in that building there were more than one company but he was still the fire warden for the entire floor.
I thought that the manager could have done better to respond to Will's father with a more kinder tone or atleast an understanding attitude. Maybe it is because the Manager had other issues to deal with like if the trading servers crashed or that the American currency dropped and caused the prices everywhere to go down. But the way the manage treated them seemed unfair but I think that Will's father should have a little sympathy towards the manager, but then John was right to try and evacuate and then the 2nd plane crashed, and im inferring that the manager dies. The manager should have listened to John because he was doing what was right at the time, and since he had authority, the Manager should have listened to him because of that and not to be a proud person. So, I am labelling the manager as a proudy, and John as a very aware man with some stubbornness
i thought that the manger had no proof to go aganist john and if he didn't know that jhon was the fire warden for the floor he aleast should have respect him as a boss of another office.the way the manager reacted he seemed to be a very stubborn man he thinks he is always right
@ Cameron, i agree that he could be greedy because he's risking his life just to not waste time in the office, even if there is a Fireman pleading for them to come out and evacuate the building, and just for the money
When i heard the manager telling John to go to hell, I thought that he doesnt know what harm hes going to be in. I also thought that John did a good deed telling him to leave the building, but all he wanted to do is continue his work.
i think that the other trading company's manager had no right to tell John to go to hell without any evidence because he should have known that John was the fire warden of that floor and he should have listen to him and told his staff to leave the bulding right now. he should have used his own common sence that they should have lived the building because the building right next to them was like burning and was hit by a plane. i also think that the guy was over reacting and was really stubborn.
I think that the manager was just crazy,rude,unmannered,and just stressed. The manager was being so rude and mean to John when really John was jugst trying o get everyone to be safe.
I think that it was rude that the manager said that because john was only trying to help them and keep them safe, but then again we dont know the manager to well and maybe he was just under alot of stress when that happened.
When I heard the manger at world trading center tell will's father to get the hell out I thought he was crazy because he was trying to help the people get out safely
what i thnk is that, no matter whats going oon the manager wants his buisness, to keep running, regardless of anyones' saftey. and john was right they do need to evacuate the building. the manager is stupid, because if that were to be him, he would, told everybody to leave right away, and would of fled, the building leaving everyone behind. WHICH IS MY THEORY.
Well you couldn't blame him because the man was scard and freaking out so he had no control over him so that's why he said "go to hell" to John when he ordered him to leave the office. But if the man was calm when the tradagy happened then maybe he wouldn't have gone crazy and start freaking out.
But if you look at it from the managers perspective and from an americans perspective at the time no one thought that it was a terrorist attack and no one belived that the south tower would be hit as well. So in the managers mind he was quite justified to have denied john in his request because he thought that another plane hitting was unfathomable.
i think that the manager probably thought that it was only the north tower that got hit, and at that time it was assumed an accident. al john was trying to do was get his staff adn will to saftey.
i was thinking that the manager was very stubborn and full of it just because the other tower got hit he thinks he's safe in the tower he is in the south tower. The way his voice soundeed and the way he was talking made him sound like that, even though at that time no one would of thought that america can be attacked at that time and that it would be impossible the manager could have still taken percaution.
I think that was very Discourteous and Impolite .. it is the fire warden's job to evacuate the floor he was given .. so John was doing the job he was responsible for, but on the other hand that other guy was being dis-respectful .. if he listened they would've got out of the bulding safely ..
@talwinder its not 100 percent that they would have got out safely like will said in the book because they might have been on the floors where the plane hits.
