The two sites are soo informatic and the first one made me realize on how much these soldiers gave up to fight for us and others, and an example is the Canadians ran out the Germans from the Netherlands in World War 2, and the descriptions are soo vivid and make me imagine what horrible things occur in war. It makes me shiver and feel soo low compared to these soldiers. They deserve recognition, definetly, because One and a Half million Canadians joined the war, either a farmer, or a business person, and there were no shortage of feminine presence in this, as they would tend to the injured or hurt. The kid's corner gives Children with a lower level of thinking an insight of what was going on in the 1900s
Yes Ben-g Less we forget te service men and women who faught for our freedom and i agree sharpshooter the ones who gave there life for us never got to see there loved ones in the end
I really enjoyed the youth corner actually. It was great because there is something for everyone. I'm not much of a history buff at all, even though I think it is so important to know and understand where we came from and how we got here. The "Shared Thoughts" section, and recipe section intrigued me. The website is rich in that it doesn't just give you just the facts, but helps to create some understanding of the time and the humanity involved during a time of war.
Here's another link through CBC radio. A documentary project to honour the soldiers who have fought in the Afghan war. It is actually a compilation of videos.
It made me realize how important the people who had fought in the world war never seen they're husbands/wives/children. They gave up their lives for other people freedom and those people never realized it .. it made me appreacticate what i have now and what i will do in the future
Remembrance Day is the day we give silence to the soldiers who gave up their lives to give protection and freedom to us. More than one million men and women enlisted in the navy, the army and the air force to protect Canada. I'm proud to be Canadian.
Im, proud to be CANADIAN!!!! All the things these soilders did for us so we could be free, and live in peace. Even as we speak, there's people down battling now; we should be humble because they, gave up thier lives to make us a better future. so be greatfull. be G.F.W.W.H.I.O.L.T.(Greatful, for, what, we, have, in, our, lives, today!!!)
all those soldiers fought and died because they knew their efforts and sacrifices would help their country and the future of other people they didn't even know. these soldiers deserve our respect and to be remembered.
