I thought that it was fairly Realistic because the story was easy to relate to and plus the scenario where David and Sean were in a mall, Eric Walters portrayed the Reactions to Sean knocking down the pots in the Store. The Shop worker was infuriated by Sean Dropping the pots before she realized that Sean was in a wheelchair, and then she softened her tone and took it lightly. This I know is true because i experienced it firsthand.
I think the book was very Vigorous (Suspensful) because you'd always stop at the very interesting part and it would make us the students think more and more about the book . infering what would happen next etc.
Powerful because this novel makes me feel how someone in a wheelchair feels by being watched. It wants me to do something about people thinking bad things about disabled people. Some of the disabled people can do most things that we normal people cannot do
The book was,in my opinion inspirable. The book was exasperating, redundant and barely suspeneful, but inspirable is the only word that would sum up the whole book and be able to be agreed with.David has so many burdens, and he was so close to dying, but then in such a short time he was happy,at the basketball game with people using wheelchairs like David. He was able to change paths.I thought he'd keep going down the path of death and failure, but at the moment when I think he should of ended his miserable endeavour, and terminate the pathetic tantrums.
egyptian pharoah i agree with you the book is fairly realistic and when brown_kid means is that it was emotional because of the situations that happen.
the book never got dull there was always this twist in it that made you start questioning the characters and wanting to know more so i agree with niida i think it was THRILLING and i also agree with alyssa INTRIGING/SUSPENCFUL. !!!
extatic the whole book from begining to end was great, there is not a part i would complain about that if it was boring or extra. the ending would say was the most interesting part because no one saw that coming. the best part about the book is probably that it is easy to talk about, we had so many open and good dicusions about the book that everyone enjoyed
The book slowly got closer and closer to break the barrier between Scott and David. The missing information between them that Sean tried to keep scarce had failed and Scott and David found out about this.Fortunately,it didn't lead to anything like murder,or a fight,or a lawsuit,or some other ridiculous affair.
Heli ur right the book is very realistic, I think te book is realistic because the author made it sound as though it were a real life story and because the dialogue was awsome because iot came with alot of suspense and there was somthing different or unexpected in most of the book. The book flows very smoothly and suspensefully
@El Presidente first of all, fantastical is not a word.Second of all, people are that are ''disabled'' do have abilites.Their methods of assessing problems and creating resolutions is different, but what are we to say it is different? When the solution will be the same.
ultimate dragovian you said that the only word to sum up the book is inspirable. does that mean that it inspires kids to not go down the wrong path?? now i'm not completely sure what inspirable means but i do not think that the book was redundant exasperating or barely suspenseful. nothing the same ever seemed to happen, it wasn't really boring and there seemed to be suspense throughout the book. can you explain what you mean a bit more?
Touching. It is touching because most people think that people in wheelchairs cant really do anything. But this book told people that you can do anything in whatever situation you are in.
i agree with heli that the book is realistic because we can relate to it. it doesn't have to be the same situation but we can relate to it. i still tink the book was intriging because i always wanted to know what happened next.
@ultimate dragovian fantastical is indeed a word and what i said is that we have no right to call people disabled i never said they cant assess sitiuations diffrently or dont have abilities what i siad exactly was"to qoute mr.cheny who are we to say whos disabled and whos not? not for one moment did i say peopel with who are "disabled dont have abilities" just to clarify
nida and talwinder i say that because like when sean in the wheelchair in the mall the sale person stopped yelling at sean when she saw he was in the wheelchair.also on the first day of school mr.mcully ,when he saw david saw he was in the wheelchair he thought ow could he start the fight and he blamed in on sean that he was really wronge to hit david.how mr.mucully and the sale person reacted on david it would happen in the real world wounldn't it .and daviv feels that people feel pity in him
intriging or suspenseful
ReplyDeletei think that the book was thrilling because something different always happened and the book never got boring once.
ReplyDeleteINTRESTING AND EXCITING
ReplyDeleteIt was intresting since in the begining everyone thought it was about dacid walking again when it was actually about sean and david's friendship.
ReplyDeleteGREAT!!!
ReplyDeletei agree alyssa it was indeed very suspenseful i mean who knew david was soft on the inside
ReplyDeletei think the book was electrifying
ReplyDeletepowerful
ReplyDeletei think it was also stimulating
ReplyDeletei think the word that describe the best is realistic
ReplyDeleteI thought that it was fairly Realistic because the story was easy to relate to and plus the scenario where David and Sean were in a mall, Eric Walters portrayed the Reactions to Sean knocking down the pots in the Store. The Shop worker was infuriated by Sean Dropping the pots before she realized that Sean was in a wheelchair, and then she softened her tone and took it lightly. ReplyDeletehow cheney read it was comedic but if it was read normaly it would kind of be somewhat boring
ReplyDelete@ Brown_Kid how is it Powerful?
ReplyDeleteI think the book was very Vigorous (Suspensful) because you'd always stop at the very interesting part and it would make us the students think more and more about the book . infering what would happen next etc.

ReplyDeletei agree with hitakshee electrifying is a good way to discribe the book in a word.
ReplyDeleteIn a word this book was very intresting and suspensful
ReplyDeleteThe book was,in my opinion inspirable.
ReplyDelete@ Brown_Kid Are people Disabled? or are they just different?
ReplyDeleteegyptian pharoah i agree with you the book is fairly realistic and when brown_kid means is that it was emotional because of the situations that happen.
ReplyDelete@ egyptian pharoah i think he means just diffrent
ReplyDeletethe book never got dull there was always this twist in it that made you start questioning the characters and wanting to know more so i agree with niida i think it was THRILLING and i also agree with alyssa INTRIGING/SUSPENCFUL. !!!

flows very smoothly and suspensefully
@ elpresidente egiptian pharoah was asking brown_kid if people are disabled or diffrent on what he means
ReplyDelete@ El Presidente I meant that Are people really disabled? but in contrast i also said "Or are they different"
ReplyDelete@ Bailee T why was the book intresting and suspensful ?
ReplyDelete@El Presidente first of all, fantastical is not a word.Second of all, people are that are ''disabled'' do have abilites.Their methods of assessing problems and creating resolutions is different, but what are we to say it is different? When the solution will be the same.

ReplyDelete@ Heli explain how it is relistic.
ReplyDeleteREALISTIC,AMMUSING,INTERISTING
ReplyDelete@ heli, why is the book realistic?
ReplyDeleteel presidente i think we arnt the ones who are to say that someone is disabled infact we have no right to say that.
ReplyDeleteTouching.
ReplyDeleteIt is touching because most people think that people in wheelchairs cant really do anything. But this book told people that you can do anything in whatever situation you are in.
i agree with Talwinder it is very Suspensful. the most Suspensful part i think is the part when he saw the reflection comming out of the bushes.
ReplyDelete@ pamelaasuccessful what does the book have to do with wheelchairs it just symbolic
ReplyDelete@egyptian pharoah oh i see thanks for clarifying
ReplyDeleteHELI WHO IS THE BOOK REALISTIC
ReplyDeletethis book was different then the books I've read before because it was more realistic than those books.
