  4. I think the mistake that's been done over and over again for these types of causes (bullying awareness, etc) is that people forget. And if they do remember, they neglect it because people do believe that there's someonelse who'll do it for them,or that it'll pass by and nobody will remember. There's several problems that need to be solved but we can't.
There isn't just one leader but multple leaders.Leaders need to be motivated, but everyone's a leader if they can have some motivation and determination. In a whole school, one person that's not the pm CAN organize a whole mass to change this kind of thing.Posters, speeches, billboards, etc can be created to promote causes but we dont.
Until there's a leader that gets up and tells everyone to move and perform actions,it'll never happen.

  5. a characteristic of a leader is when the leader takes charge.when the leader takes charge they can fix problems ,and solve bullying problems, and yet they can do things that make them the right leader.when a leader is responsible you see respect and happiness in the school, or just an act that is caused by bullying.the acts could be any other thing that can be a violence act that is used in gangs, or just a fight in the school yard.that is why we need a respectful, responsible and is a problem solver.

  6. i think a leader should inspire people and be optimistic so that people will believe his/her message and do what the leader is asking because the leader has inspired them and made them believe that what they are saying is right. a leader should be responsible for making decisions and making a plan to do something about it. but they also should be responsible to get the people involved and to take initiative so that if they fail to make a plan to fix something (example bullying), the people will take the initiative and do something about it although the leader has not.

  7. A leader should lead by his example and solve and bring to the table ideas but is also someone who gets input from the public when things arent going so well, to help him or her work things out.For example george bush, when a catastrophe like 9/11 happens things arent going so well for america everyones in shock and he goes out to that baseball game to sybolicly get the peoples input for if his desicion is correct and the cheering and chants were the peoples answer.

  8. the characteristic of a leader would be some one who is insperational. For example when a leader wants people to agree with an idea they might try and get people to agree with the idea they will say how it will benefit everyone. A leaders responsibility is being some one people could look up to.

  9. -leading people to do the RIGHT thing
-not making all the descisons all themselves and let others like vote or something
-making sure they always stand up and their people with the leader
-taking in charge so their isnt much problems

  10. i expect a leader to be, optimistic!
a leader who can help us, with our prombles, because some of their responsibilitys' are,"providing edvice, encouraging the local on what they put their minds to,etc....." i won't go on because my fingas' are killing me. you get the point.

  11. I think the characteristic and roles of a leader should be responsibilty, respect, etc. leaders should have all the characteristics because he is the leader and everybody depends on him to make a change or do something good for us

    ReplyDelete
  12. The Leader should be someone inspirational and responsible he cant be a slacker he has to be role model to little children he has to seem like a superhero or the perfect person for example they have to be outgoing, smart, athletic and have many ideas they cant be boring and lazy because if there lazy it wont help the foundfation or what ever it is

  13. Some characteristics might be the ability to actually be AWARE.Being aware means that you can lead other people to be aware of bullying.A calender specalized for this could help.
Theres this ability that I can't name. The characteristic.A trait that means that ''Hey,I'm going to change this world!'' Almost like optimism, but not quite.

  14. I think that mainly a leader "inspires" helps others get better at things, someone who does not force but does things in way that people want to follow her/him.
A leader is someone you can count on or rely on, someone that deos not do all the work her or him self but gets people that dont do work to do work. A example could be like Jesus he is a form of god himself but look he started a religon all on his own and got people to follow him,He made his own rules, helped people, did not force and still got others to do what he wanted them to do.

  15. leaders should also be aware of whats going on around them so they can be effective leaders.

    ReplyDelete
  16. A leader should be someone who can do somthing and help people.A leader should stand up for his or her self and he or she should be able to stand up for others.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree with Vanessa that leaders should stand up for what they believe in and they should fix problems because thats what leaders should do

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Sharpshooter Maybe people don't need to look up to a person, but the leader has to organize and promote the events. The characteristic might be initiative.

  21. i agree with gurinder.to change the world you have to be aware of what is going and being aware is how a leader is a leader like martin luther king

  22. Leadership style is the pattern of behavior used by a leader in attempting to influence group members and make decisions regarding the mission, strategy, and operations of group activities. The best type of ship is a Leadership....

    ReplyDelete
  23. the charistices or a leader are:being/showing responsibality,respectful,and being a problem solver.

the responsibilities or a leader would be doing the right things because alot of people look up to leaders like younger kids nd adults.another responsibality would be to lead people in the right direction and not leading them to down the wrong path

    ReplyDelete
  24. master cheif i agree with what you said. a leader has to be a role model for little kids. you don't see many leaders out there who are bad role models. leaders are usually respectful people with lots of ideas on how to change the world.

    ReplyDelete
  25. but really they are supposed to set a good example for the younger kids and mostly kids their own age.they are a leader they are a figure you look up to and you would go to for your problems.

    ReplyDelete
  26. i think that a leader should be trustworthy so the people can trust on him/her on what decision they make for the people .also a leader should be a role model for younger kids ,leader should be respectful to everyone and also respect their ideas .

    ReplyDelete
  27. i agree Vanessa.
Leaders should be good problem solvers

    ReplyDelete
  28. @ KOC that was a good on how you said that leaders help us with our problems but i really don't get the point you are saying that wasn't a very good example. How do you know it would be good or bad since it was not a very strong answer so please explain., i have to dissagree

    ReplyDelete
  29. i agree with brown_kid leadership is type of a behavior which every body should follow

    ReplyDelete
  30. leaders should be open for new ideas, and take them to consideration. the leader should be responsible and respectfull to new ideas and people. i agree a leader should be inspireing, people should be able to look up to the leader as an inspireing person. a leader should be couragus, they should have the courage to make the dessions they think are right, even if some people think they are wrong, they should have the courage to speak of what they beleive in.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think a good leader is someone who listens to other people's ideas and actually thinks it over, lead people in the right direction.Example:Like if the group leader hears a idea that he/she think will not be good but they actually think it over then they realized that is it a good idea.

    ReplyDelete
  32. A leader should be balanced with the fact that he has to stand up for his/her ideas but has to also understand that he/she has other agendas like for example the primeminister he keeps his troops in afghanistan because he wants to keep his relationship with america healthy thats his hidden agenda.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Vanessa Age doesn't have to matter when it comes to leadership. There's such things as child activists. An example might be Iqbal or Craig Kielburger.

    ReplyDelete
  34. ms merraro says: how do the leaders of today get in to power if they do not posses these characteristics ?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Heli, Definitly a leaders should be trustworthy because if the leader isnt trustworthy than whats the point of following them when really you know they will let you down over and over again....

    ReplyDelete
  36. The leaders may get into power because they had family memebers in power before.

    ReplyDelete
  37. i agree with vanessa leaders should be good examples to everyone, not just people their own age, they should set examples for everyone. not everyone will follow their examples but thay should be a good example and a good influence to everyone.

  38. @El Presidente I think it's called Monarchy
Dictatorship by election or bribing can be done, false faith and ideas that are a facade, etc can also be used to get into power.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Leaders should be able to react in a way thats right and just

    ReplyDelete
  40. (EL Presidente) you are totally correct Leaders should be balanced with the fact that he has to stand up for his/her ideas. :D

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ms. Merrero many leaders of today get power because they have a lot of money they can use it to force people, bribe people etc.

    ReplyDelete
  42. i agree zak that is a way to get into power without having the characteristics thatwe have all posted. but another way could be that the leaders could be very powerful in money, they could use bribes.

    ReplyDelete
  43. alot of people that become leaders don't even have responsibility or have the characteristic a leader is suppose to have, like being insperational or spontanious. It seems like the leaders now just have a way with words or they are bribeong the voters just to get in power and abuse it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. if the leaders do not posses these characteristics, they get into power by being born into the family. for example, if your family has been the leaders of a place for a few generations, you will likely become the next leader even if you do not posses these characteristics. they could also lie that they have these characteristics to get into power but that decision will probably come back to haunt them later.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @El Presidente Leaders don't react in a way that is sound and they won't.An example is the extended Afghan war.The recession and job drop was much more than enough to handle already, but to add familes that might have members killed on the battlefield is too much to cope with.Having all these problems is devastating to Canada, along with the rest of the world.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I agree with K.O.C because a leader should help there followers and give them advice and help them with there problems instead of being lazy and not helping them because the little kids depend a leader to giive them advice because they think of them as a brother or sister

    ReplyDelete
  47. but would bribery be a good tactic to get into power? for example, if you were in an election and you were trying to bribe the voters with money secretly and someone found out, you would probably get kicked out of the running for power. that's just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @El Presidente i could be becaues the power runs in the family and it gets passed down every year or it could be because they tried out for it like in a election for mayor. ford got elected and was then put into power

    ReplyDelete
  49. tatally most leaders ( almost every leader these days) get into power and abuse it, they say theyll lower taxes and then when they win they instead of lowering the taxes they make them higher and higher and higher.
    I agree with you sharpshooter.

    ReplyDelete
  50. @ gurinder but still it does seem like a conspiracy since bush use the 9/11 incident to keep them in a war and then i think last year there was a war over oil so it seems like bush used it as an excuses just to keep in the war.

    ReplyDelete
  51. @ alyssa, some of our leaders now could of used bribery, if they did they havnt gotten caught.

  52. A Leader is someone who uses influence from the people, and to use it to change something, whether for the benefit of the people, or themselves. Usually they are very selfless if they had a positive influence upon the people, whereas if there was a dictator that took power by force, for example, with an army of a secret gang or movement, the people that were taken over would obviously be negative towards the person in power unless, as Hitler had done, they indoctrinated positive outcomes of this person's actions. If this person's visioned outcomes were true, then they'd be the heart of the people, good leaders are always seeking to assist people.

They are selfless when it comes to benefit. An example is that a Captain goes down with his ship, and we all know that the captain is in power, so then he controls whatever happens on deck, then if there was, for example, a hole in the hull of the ship, the crew would surely try to repair, but if it was unrestorable, they would use their escape rafts, and then is there not a responsibility that a captain has over his ship? He would not leave it in waters to be demolished, unless he has no guilt in his heart, and thus, he goes down with his ship, whilst his crew jets to nearby land. This is the sacrifice captains make, this is the sacrifice good leaders make for us, as people.

  53. some leaders can promise that they will do all thats in their power to change everything and makes it better but you can never be sure if they actually keep that promise or break it and instead make everything a total mess

    ReplyDelete
  54. @bailee yes some of our leaders could have used bribery but in my opinion i think a true leader should not be bribing the public to win an election. it is not right. if you really want to be a leader you should become one fairly.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I agree manga/anamie-rulez:D
Almost all leaders these days say that they will do all that is in their power when really their just saying to win and when they win they do the total oppisite of what they promised to do.

    ReplyDelete
  56. i agree with MANGA/ANIME-rulez :D leaders can promise lots of things and you never can be sure if they will keep there promise break it or they just lie so you can just vote for them. but sometimes they actual keep there promise but you have to take that risk and vote for them.most people vote with the person that most peopole are voting and some vote for the one they think is right for the poistion.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Most of our leaders bribe as well as force people to elect them. So really these people that say they are leaders are really just gangsters.
The only reasons most politions want to become leaders is because they want the money that come out these jobs.

  58. i think that the characteristics of a leader is to do what they are suppose to do. also Inspire, empower others, and also a great leader doesn't just delegate responsibilities. he/she is also engaged in helping others yield positive results.a leader's knowledge, experience and trustworthiness should be the hallmark of his ability to move others into positive action. a great leader isn;t just a figure head that stands there and says "do as I say not as you want to be done" a true leader is someone who build's trust and win's the respect of the people he/she leads. a leader should always be respectful to the people e/she is leading and always respect everyone's ideas. also as a leader, it is important that you are able to handle situations involving bullying, fighting and much more. those are the characteristics I think are for a great leader.

    ReplyDelete
  59. a leader has to take charge you cant just sit and wait in the corner for change to happen, you got to have courage and be brave and get others involved. you have do be creative start things that no one would ever think or wonder about doing, a leader has to take risks for somthing he belives in. these are all parts of being a leader

    ReplyDelete
  60. It seems clear being in position of power and leadership does not ensure being a leader

    ReplyDelete
  61. i ageree sometimes iv seen people being/actindg like leaders and they dont even show some of the charastices of a leader. they let all the power go to there head
