Remembrance Day 3

Examine and study this photo.

The picture tells great story but you must add to those details to etch the story in your mind

1 - Describe the setting with some vivid detail.  (smell/sounds/etc)

2 - Infer what is going through the nurses mind right now (hopes/fears/anger/etc)

3 - Infer what is going through the soldiers mind right now (hopes/fears/anger/etc)

Men being shot, fellow men carring is fellow soliders to safety after being shot. 2.The nurses hopefully waiting for there fellow solidiers to make it without getting more hurt. 3. In the solidiers mind they are thinking for this to finsh and none of there firends to get hurt no more.

  7. it seems to be in afghanistan, because of the broken down background, and the wall that was destroyed, seemed to have done by a grenade in my prediction.
And it seems to be the kid on the other kids back must of got hit or was very close to an explosion and the other child had seen him and come to save him.In a way he wouldn't die; because right now its seem he was/or had gotten knocked out by something and injured badly.
And, with what the picture is showing, the wepons were still goin on.
What i think went through the nurses mind was,' what could have happened to this child, it looks as if he was attacked,'.' the rage that's in me right now wants me to go give those attackers, something to teach the a lesson'.'i hope he survives'.
the soilder was fearse and was willing to do anything to give back what those attacker gave to that kid.

  8. the nurse might be thinking...o.m.g this is such a hard momment his mom ,dad ,sister ,brother ?? what if he is married and has children thats looking forward to see daddy again,it's in my hands to take care of him,his family wants to see him alive not a note coming to their house saying he is dead and his family crying everyday hearing that their loved one has died in battle by saving their country.it's all faith for us we need to realize the fact that every time one dies the team has to keep going, they cant sit there for 2-3 weeks thinking about their lost one they have to know that once he is gone his name his faith his spirit..is with us.

  11. what is goig through the soldiers minds is that we are strong we have to save our country we fight for what is ours.if we lose one we can keep going. they might even be scared out of their mind hoping for something to fall out of the sky to save them from this deadly moment.they're waiting to see their family and waiting to be safe and away from this mess. this is my one and only chance to get this right .they are angry that they are trying to take over their country they are scared of what might happen to their family it is just what you call hope to keep on going but they are sad sacared and they have some hope in them to keep on moving.

  13. it smells like burning buildings, flesh and blood and gunpowder. the air roars with the sound of gunfire and planes dropping bombs onto builidings making huge explosions. men are yelling and people are dying. everyone is scrambling around trying to dodge bullets and bombs. the nurse is hoping she can get to the hospital fast and not get shot or bombed. she is thinking about all the other wounded men out there and hoping they will survive although in the back of her mind she knows they probably won't.she is wondering if her friends are safe or dead and her family back home. the soldier is thinking about his family back home and how worried they must be and how devastated they will be if he dies. he is thinking about friends he has made in the war and lost in the war and how he will likely lose more family and friends along the way. he is thinking about how he got so hurt because he does not remember what happened. all he knows is that his legs are hurting and bleeding and he has to make it to the hospital soon or he will pass away.

  14. 1.it smells like burning fire, and gun powder everywhere, you can smell the dust from the falling buildings you coughing with the smell of dust thats all you can breathe in.you can hear people screaming... buildings falling down... gun shots, people crying.you can see people limping, your coligue is shot in the arm and you cant do anything but retriet !

2.shes hoping that everything will be okay people will live, and they will win the war.shes terrified that everyone will die, they will lose there freedom, and terrified she will never she her beloved family again !the only thing she can be mad about is how many men are fallin and injured, knowing that more then half of them will not make it home safe !

3.the soldier is just hoping he will make it in time to save his friend, that everything is going to be okay and he will make it home to see his family one last time. while running as fast as he can with his friend on his back knowing that at anytime he could be shot and die, but knowing he must be stong to help his friend. hes running as fast as he can to get his friend to shelter but knowing he can do nothing for him nothing at all just gets him angery.

You can see the smoke coming down from the sky made from bombs and aircrafts.
you can see the nurse carring a injured solider on her back across the battlefield
as she tries to move as quickly as she could.
the solider is thinking of he could have gotten i jured jhe really wants to go back and fight but he can not untill he is fully recovered.
the nurse is thinking to get across the battle field as fast as she could because she deos not want to get hurt while trying to save anothers life. She is thinking of the pain the soldier is in and wandering idf he will be safe or if these are his last breaths...

  19. 1. it smelt of gun powder, burning fire, and dead bodies. you could hear the fireing guns and the crys of ingured people. what was able to be seen over the smoke of the burining fire, was athe inguered or dead bodies and the broken buildings.
    2. the thoughts of this ingured person she has, fighting for his life. the hope he is one of the brave survivors, the sadness coming over her as she thinks of the family he probably has, worrying about him. and how his loved ones will be devistated if he doesnt make it.
    3. the soldier fighting for his life, terrified about what is going to happen if he doesnt make it, how will his family and friends react. and if he does make it, people will be able to listen to his stories of what he has gone through, and who he had lost.

  20. (im writing in the soldiers, and nurses point of view)Soldier:"the had the same foul smell of fire and blood that came from all the soldiers lying lifless on the war grounds.I was carrying John on my back he had been shot in hid leg 4 times and was loosing blood fast. The sounds of gunshots and bombs exploding filled the air.I could hardly breath because of the thick smoke that filled the air,my lungs were burning but i knew i had to save John no matter what because i couldnt leave my best friend in the enemies hands.I was filled with hatred towards the man who had shot John, when I got to the tent i laid him down on the bed and then everything went black......Nurse:the poor lad who brought his friend in collapsed as soon as he stepped away from the bed.I rushed to the medecine cabniet and told Francis to look after the lad on the ground while i rushed and began taking the bullets out of the wound.30 minutes passed and im still getting the second bullet out if this keeps up were gonna lose him.The other fellow woke up 10 minutes ago and told me his name was Hank and now hes lying in the next bed.3 minutes ago we lost the fellow who had been shot, the other lad Hank burst in tears and rushed to the lads side saying that it wasn't possible and then turned to me and said "he's not dead please tell me its a joke"but all i could do was shake my head.Oh I don't get this war people are dying and all I can do is try as hard as i can to save them but if i cant I feel like it was all my fault.Blast those machines that claim so many lives my anger towards this nonsense is so big i can't describe it.Then i realised the lad Hank was gone.....Hank:John was dead my best friend was dead gone I couldn't belive it .I grabbed my rifle and ran out but as soon as I took 4 steps my lungs started to burn and my eyes watered the smoke was so thick i could barley see.But then i knew i had to take revenge or I wouldnt feel at peace. Then i ran on till I reached where our troops were and got in position to fight.......

  21. (nurses point of veiw)
The sky was smoky from the smoke and smells like blood and there is blood all over the place , the floor is cracked from bombs and blackened too, ths sky was a light shade of black and gray, this war i had no idea when it was going to end or how much more soliders were going to die, each of them had a family and the war was far from ending .i held the solider and he was heavy but i still tried.my legs hurt but that was nothing up to what the soliders were doing, fighting for our country and for our freedom.i tried not to cry but that at this moment was really impossible.

    (soliders point of veiw)
i didnt know if i was going to live, my body hurt in every way , but i had to fight it off, i wanted my country to be free, so i couldnt give up now . the smoke was getting into my lungs and it hurt.i was so thank ful for the nusre helping me and i hoped i lived so i can help to get my country free. blood was falling off my legs but i dint wanna give up so easily . i didnt want a war but if it was for my country i was willing to do it. as the nurse was carrying me i had nice thoughta about my family, if they were safe and secure , i really hope they were safe.

  24. 1) There are Gunshots in the background, with the occasional whistle from a bullet going by, and explosions are heard everywhere. The sound of airplanes flying over them are overwhelmingly loud, they cannot even hear themselves think, and the screams coming from the battle is nerve-wracking, and the engines roaring by. The dust and the fine mist of blood floats by in the air, and the grim, gore feeling lingers around. The walls are crumbling down, and the clouds all gray, the air thick, smoke everywhere. Every moment, there is a soldier dead from the bloodthirsty bullets and tanks where advancing from the smoke, and the occasional sight of enemy infantry running for dear life as their comrades pick them off. The smell of all the rotting flesh was excruciatingly horrible, there was the smell of cold iron and smoggy air surrounded them.
2)I have to get through, and serve others, in all events, this man must'nt die! We serve to protect them from the enemies horrible life-reaping bullets, ach!, my legs are burning, I think I have blisters on my calluses. Oh no!! Run!!
    2) Come on Woman! Run! My whole being is throbbing, im seeing in red, and I cannot stop and think about what has happened, and please, oh please, God, save me! I do not wish to die, I wish to serve my country, to better your world! *groans*

  25. The setting has a thick air, almost no oxygen. There are colossal clouds of smoke drifting through the war scarred land, blocking vision of others. The sky is unable to be seen from the clouds that envelope the area.Crumbled buildings break into pieces over and over.Screams, shouts and a horrible stench of rotting limbs creeps out and oozes through the atmosphere as people question their faith and if it is real. Why them? Why now?
The nurse sees a a soldier in a condition near death.Horrifying creaking sounds, gasps for air are begged for as the soldier is trying to stay alive. The doctors and nurses question themselves. Why did they have to go? The soldiers believe that what they sacrifice today will give everyone in the future a ''peacefull''.Sacrificing their lives today and killing the others that are against their country is the only way to have a better generation in the future. The nurses fear that the soldiers will die and they can't make it through, also the nurses are afraid they will come down alongside the soldiers as they collapse into death, drifting away into agonizing pain.

  26. the sun is setting ahd the cloud look like they are about to let go all the water they have.the windy and the wind is blowing the smell of buring trees and bulding around.the groung is hard as stone and you see the fire roaring on the buliding which is falling apart.you hear a bomb fallig you speed your pace.
the nurse is thinking if she can get to camp in time trying to hold her fear back.she hpoes that she isn't getting near a bomb.she hears a cry as a gun hits a person she has to hauury up.
the solider is thinking he can't survive and he is thinking about his family what are they going to do if somthing happes to him.he fears the nurse has the power to get him to camp and get him heal.

  27. It smells like smoke and a bad smell of dead bodies. Its very loud because of thousands of guns exploiding at once. I think that the nurse is hoping that she gets him into good care and is mad at the idea of war. The soldiers are mad that one of their teamates are injured but have to keep going.

  28. I think the scene of the picture is a nurse or a person that treating a person that had got shot during the world war and picking him up and the back round is also "saying" that there are bombs blowing up and gun shots being taken etc. The smell might have been very strong and smelling like burnt stuff like smoke as other people have said, there may have been dead bodies in the picture but i could have not seen it clearly.

I think that the nurse might have been in a very ruff situation because on one hand she is carrying an injured solider and on the other hand she has to take care of her self, what if a enemy as shot her and she could no be saved as well she could be very petrify, paralyze, terrorize, and strike terror in. She must have been praying and having hope and faith that she will pass on with life and not be end of life ..

The solider is very injured and very blessed that a nurse had come and tried to save his dear life, maybe have succeed, or not .. I think on his mind he is very pronounce holy, eulogize, enshrine, anoint, and baptize all these words relate to him being very blessed.

  29. It is a murky day, with a strong stench of dead bodies and smoke.Guns firing, bombs going off in the background, people yelling. The floor is all jagged and rough. You can see in the distance your friends fighting, enemy soldiers shooting your friends.People with some missing limbs, dead comrades, fear in their eyes.
Fear and hope is going through the nurse's mind because she scared that maybe a enemy might shot her or capture her and make her help them.
Fear of not being able to make it and pain from the wound is going through the soldier's mind.

  30. 1. I think the setting is in a small town, and the soldiers were hiding in that loft sort of a thing. I think that you could hear the sound of gun shots and bombs. It smells like smoke and everywhere you look you see fog because of the gun shots.

    2. I think that the nurse is thinking about all of the soldiers and how they might be doing, and how much materials their going to need to help all of them stay alive. Another thing that the nurse can be thinking is that she might be praying to God that everybody is okay and that nobody gets hurt.

    3. I think the soldier might be scared because he might be thinking that hes about to die, and he might be worried to because he would be thinking about everybody elses saftey.
